Practical Aspects

One does not make their own entrance into our Lord's kingdom; an entrance is ministered unto them by the Holy Spirit. Many would think that by doing these certain things one would somehow work their way at least to the doorway of this entrance, but even these certain things are rather ministered unto to us; again by the Holy Spirit. We began our discussion with the faith obtained/given; ministered unto us. There has been an abundance of things from there that we've also began to consider and each of them again obtained/given; ministered unto us up to and including all things pertaining to life itself and godliness, up to and including grace and peace multiplied through the knowledge of Jesus Christ. The entrance is ministered. The abundance is ministered.

The opposite of having been ministered unto is having produced for one's own self. Not only can one not produce their entrance, they cannot produce their own abundance (not spiritually).

The "like precious" faith is not about being issued some "get out of hell" monopoly game card for some future use when the need is presented. That is all that most people use their religious faith for; a savior safely out in the distance. Rather, it is for planting a foothold against the overwhelming tide, establishing that foothold for more than a moment or two, even advancing that foothold forward against all that opposes it toward the direction of the Lord there on the eternal shoreline. It is doing something until Christ Jesus that could not be done and doing it everyday more and more and in all things; something only possible through the Holy Spirit on equal standing with what had been given the Apostles.

Some might say that this "equal standing" with the Apostles would mean to speak in tongues and miracles and such; and it might for some mean exactly that. First however (and most importantly), it must mean we get into the spiritual flow of things and start applying these tremendous things to our daily lives and the lives of those around us; to be faithful with it in all the smaller things that we might be trusted and more experienced in the larger things. There is a whole lot of work to be done between here and there, but we were created unto good works.

What is temptation if it is not the very things used to talk us back out of being productive in this "like precious faith"?

Before you begin to try applying these many things earnestly, please examine the final section in this series the JustificationsOfTheLikePreciousFaith. I believe that your eyes will be further opened to how radically different this faith is meant to be.
