Word Of Prophecy

kjv@2Peter:1:19 @ We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

kjv@2Peter:1:20 @ Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

What would you say if I were propose for this instance simply summarizing the meaning of all prophecy as being as God working to have HIS monumental influence upon every one of us? What if I further proposed HIS commandment to mean to willingly opening up and being receptive to HIS considerable influence and becoming established in it enough to become a conduit of that influence to all others? Not HIS influence as we would choose to invent it, but HIS influence as HE divinely radiates it? Would the dawning of this proposed notion be enough to carry us out into the full light of the day?

2. Interpretation

Quoted resource: strongs 'G1955'

G1955 @ ἐπίλυσις epilusis ep-il'-oo-sis From G1956; explanation that is application: - interpretation.

Practical Aspects:

The very first prophecy recorded in scripture is at kjv@Genesis:2:17 "...the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die". Not to leave soon fallen mankind in this perpetual death state the second prophecy is immediately given at kjv@Genesis:3:15 "...between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel" which forms the bases of a covenant that all other subsequent covenants are built off of. Notice that this dual covenant/prophecy is without condition and without human conception. This rationally can be thought of as the second covenant as the first covenant depended upon man's obedience, the second depended on God's faithfulness to HIS stated objective and commitment. That seed of the woman is none other than Jesus Christ.

Many prophecies followed both short term to acquaint man to the concepts of prophecy and establishment of certain verifiable prophets, others mid range involving the coming Messiah and His ministry, some long range to address of the final fulfillment of this overarching/all encompassing covenant at the Second Coming and Judgment. Nothing of this plan should come as any surprise because both the prophecies and their prophets have long been established. One can rest assured because of the considerable time and effort expended already by God towards this fulfillment that HIS ultimate objective isn't just as plain and simple as having us all back on board to live a life eternally similar to the mortal life we live for ourselves right here. No, the life to come involves considerable changes the types of which have not even crossed our minds.

Many there are that would see these changes as a bad undesirable thing, some because they adverse to the very notion of God, others because of the man made changes a variety of misguided religious types have tried to force upon them. Change rather begins at the official influence of Christ and that by immediate and direct relationship to Him via the Holy Spirit, the production and reception of His righteousness, our putting this production forward into our lives, the experience and occasional correction due attempting to implement it into our daily lives. Change comes by the full recognition and acknowledgement (as we've now learned) of who Christ actually is in all His glory/authority and what He intends for influence to be over us.

Everything that the Law of Commandments could not do to change us being only able alert us to our carnal inabilities, everything that the prophecies pointed to in a Messiah, being thus fulfilled by Jesus is now most capable of changing in us. And that change is intended to begin right here and right now ever increasing scale in advance of this corrupted worlds final judgment. Prophecy shines brighter and brighter as does our understanding of how much it is meant to change us and bring us under His might influence.
