* I am (5748 ) the true vine , and my Father is (5748 ) the husbandman . * Every branch in me that beareth (5723 ) not fruit he taketh away (5719 ): and every branch that beareth (5723 ) fruit , he purgeth (5719 ) it , that it may bring forth (5725 ) more fruit . * Now ye are (5748 ) clean through the word which I have spoken (5758 ) unto you . * Abide (5657 ) in me , and I in you . If they have persecuted (5656 ) me , they will also persecute (5692 ) you ; if they have kept (5656 ) my saying , they will keep (5692 ) yours also . * But all these things will they do (5692 ) unto you for my names sake , because they know (5758 ) not him that sent (5660 ) me . * If I had not come (5627 ) and spoken (5656 ) unto them , they had not had (5707 ) sin : but now they have (5719 ) no cloke for their sin . * He that hateth (5723 ) me hateth (5719 ) my Father also . * If I had not done (5656 ) among them the works which none other man did (5758 ), they had not had (5707 ) sin : but now have they both seen (5758 ) and hated (5758 ) both me and my Father . * But this cometh to pass , that the word might be fulfilled (5686 ) that is written (5772 ) in their law , They hated (5656 ) me without a cause . * But when the Comforter is come (5632 ), whom I will send (5692 ) unto you from the Father , even the Spirit of truth , which proceedeth (5736 ) from the Father , he shall testify (5692 ) of me : * And ye also shall bear witness (5719 ), because ye have been (5748 ) with me from the beginning .
