First published in 1611, the King James Version (also call the "Authorized" version) set the standard for all other bible translations to follow. It remains the most popular and best selling bible translation of all time. It's accuracy is outstanding, even given it's age. It has long been perhaps the most consistant grounding anchor for the english language and grammar, thus deserves the continuing respect of all bible believing Christian's world-wide. And thankfully, it is in the public domain!
