But if any hath caused grief ,
he hath not grieved me ,
but in part :
that I may not burden you all .

Sufficient to such a man this punishment ,

lest perhaps such an one should be swallowed up with too much sorrow .

Therefore I beseech you that ye would confirm love toward him .

whether ye are obedient in all things .

To whom ye forgive any thing ,
I also :
for if I forgave any thing ,
to whom I forgave ,
for your sakes in the person of Christ ; (
