And Pekah the son of Remali '

his captain ,
conspired against him with fifty men of the Gileadites ,
and slew him in Sama '
ria ,
in the citadel of the king '
s house ;
he slew him ,
and reigned in his stead .

Now the rest of the deeds of Pekahi '
ah ,
and all that he did ,
behold ,
they are written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel .
