*
And when it was determined that we should sail to Italy ,
they delivered Paul and certain other prisoners to one named Julius ,
a centurion of the Augustan cohort .
*
And boarding a ship of Adramyttium ,
we put out to sea ,
meaning to sail to ports on the coast of Asia ;
and Aristarchus ,
a Macedonian from Thessalonica ,
was with us .
*
The next day we put in at Sidon ;
and Julius treated Paul kindly ,
and gave him liberty to go to his friends ,
that they might care for him .
*
And when we had put out to sea from there ,
we sailed under the lee of Cyprus ,
because the winds were contrary .
*
And when we had sailed over the sea by the coast of Cilicia and Pamphylia ,
we came to Myra in Lycia .
*
And there the centurion found a ship of Alexandria sailing to Italy ;
and he put us aboard .
*
And when we had sailed slowly for many days ,
and with difficulty had arrived off Cnidus ,
the wind would not allow us to go on ,
so we sailed under the lee of Crete ,
off Salmone ;
*
And ,
with difficulty passing it ,
came to a place which is called The fair havens ;
near the city of Lasea .
