geneva@Deuteronomy:19:1 @ When the Lorde thy God shall roote out the nations, whose lande the Lorde thy God giueth thee, and thou shalt possesse them, and dwell in their cities, and in their houses,
geneva@Deuteronomy:19:2 @ Thou shalt separate three cities for thee in the middes of thy lande which the Lorde thy God giueth thee to possesse it.
geneva@Deuteronomy:19:3 @ Thou shalt (note:)Make an open and ready way.(:note) prepare thee a way, and divide the coasts of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every Who killed against his will, and bore no hatred in his heart. slayer may flee thither.
geneva@Deuteronomy:19:4 @ This also is ye cause wherfore the manslaier shal flee thither, and liue: who so killeth his neighbor ignorantly, and hated him not in time passed:
geneva@Deuteronomy:19:5 @ As when a man goeth into the wood with his neighbour to hew wood, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the axe to cut down the tree, and the head slippeth from the helve, and lighteth upon his neighbour, that he die; he (note:)That murder not be committed on murder.(:note) shall flee unto one of those cities, and live:
geneva@Deuteronomy:19:6 @ Least the auenger of the blood followe after the manslaier, while his heart is chafed, and ouertake him, because the way is long, and slaie him, although he be not worthy of death, because he hated him not in time passed.
geneva@Deuteronomy:19:7 @ Wherefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt appoint out three cities for thee.
geneva@Deuteronomy:19:8 @ And if the LORD thy God (note:)When you go over Jordan to possess the whole land of Canaan.(:note) enlarge thy coast, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, and give thee all the land which he promised to give unto thy fathers;
geneva@Deuteronomy:19:9 @ (If thou keepe all these commaundements to doe them, which I commaund thee this day: to wit, that thou loue the Lord thy God, and walke in his waies for euer) then shalt thou adde three cities moe for thee besides those three,
geneva@Deuteronomy:19:10 @ That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee [for] an inheritance, and (note:)Lest you be punished for innocent blood.(:note) [so] blood be upon thee.
geneva@Deuteronomy:19:11 @ But if a man hate his neighbour, and lay waite for him, and rise against him, and smite any man that he die, and flee vnto any of these cities,
geneva@Deuteronomy:19:12 @ Then the (note:)The magistrates.(:note) elders of his city shall send and fetch him thence, and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood, that he may die.
geneva@Deuteronomy:19:13 @ Thine (note:)Then whoever pardons murder, goes against the word of God.(:note) eye shall not pity him, but thou shalt put away [the guilt of] innocent blood from Israel, that it may go well with thee.
geneva@Deuteronomy:19:14 @ Thou shalt not remooue thy neighbours marke, which they of olde time haue set in thine inheritance, that thou shalt inherite in the lande, which ye Lorde thy God giueth thee to possesse it.
