Deuteronomy:31:1-8




geneva@Deuteronomy:31:1 @ Then Moses went and spake these wordes vnto all Israel,

geneva@Deuteronomy:31:2 @ And he said unto them, I [am] an hundred and twenty years old this day; I (note:)I can no longer execute my office.(:note) can no more go out and come in: also the LORD hath said unto me, Thou shalt not go over this Jordan.

geneva@Deuteronomy:31:3 @ The Lord thy God he will go ouer before thee: he will destroy these nations before thee, and thou shalt possesse them. Ioshua, he shall goe before thee, as the Lorde hath said.

geneva@Deuteronomy:31:4 @ And the Lord shall doe vnto them, as he did to Sihon and to Og Kings of the Amorites: and vnto their lande whome he destroyed.

geneva@Deuteronomy:31:5 @ And the LORD shall give them up (note:)Into your hands.(:note) before your face, that ye may do unto them according unto all the commandments which I have commanded you.

geneva@Deuteronomy:31:6 @ Plucke vp your hearts therefore, and be strong: dread not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lorde thy God him selfe doeth goe with thee: he will not faile thee, nor forsake thee.

geneva@Deuteronomy:31:7 @ And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and (note:)For he that must govern the people, must be valiant to repress evil, and constant to maintain virtue.(:note) of a good courage: for thou must go with this people unto the land which the LORD hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it.

geneva@Deuteronomy:31:8 @ And the LORD, he [it is] that doth (note:)Signifying that man can never be of good courage, unless he is persuaded of God's favour and assistance.(:note) go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.
