John:11:1-17

wesleynt@John:11:1 @ Now one Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha, was sick.

wesleynt@John:11:2 @ (It was that Mary, who anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick) Therefore his sisters sent to him,

wesleynt@John:11:3 @ saying, Lord, behold he whom thou lovest is sick.

wesleynt@John:11:4 @ Jesus hearing it, said, This sickness is not to death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified thereby.

wesleynt@John:11:5 @ Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus. So after he had heard that he was sick,

wesleynt@John:11:6 @ he abode still two days in the place where he was.

wesleynt@John:11:7 @ Then after this he saith to his disciples, Let us go into Judea again.

wesleynt@John:11:8 @ The disciples say to him, Master, the Jews but now sought to stone thee, and goest thou thither again?

wesleynt@John:11:9 @ Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.

wesleynt@John:11:10 @ But if any man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because the light is not in him.

wesleynt@John:11:11 @ Thus he spake, and after that he saith to them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go to awake him.

wesleynt@John:11:12 @ Then the disciples said, Lord, if he sleep, he will recover.

wesleynt@John:11:13 @ Jesus spake of his death, but they thought he had spoken of the natural rest in sleep.

wesleynt@John:11:14 @ Then said Jesus to them plainly, Lazarus is dead. And I am glad for your sake I was not there, that ye may believe:

wesleynt@John:11:15 @ but let us go to him.

wesleynt@John:11:16 @ Then said Thomas, called Didymus, to his fellow-disciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him.

wesleynt@John:11:17 @ When Jesus came, he found he had been now four days in the tomb.
