* The next day a great crowd that had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem . * They took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him , crying , * Jesus found a young donkey and sat upon it , as it is written , tcent @John:12:15 " /> * His disciples did not understand this at first ; but when Jesus was glorified , then they remembered that these things had been written about him and that they had done these things to him . * The crowd that had been with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead bore witness . * For this reason the people went to meet him , because they heard that he had done this sign . * The Pharisees then said to one another , »You see that you are accomplishing nothing . Look , The world has gone after him !«
