John:2:12-25
noyes@John:2:12 @ After this he went down to Capernaum, he and his mother, and his brothers, and his disciples; and they abode there not many days.
noyes@John:2:13 @ And the passover of the Jews was near; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
noyes@John:2:14 @ And he found in the temple those who sold oxen, and sheep, and doves, and the moneychangers sitting.
noyes@John:2:15 @ And having made a scourge of cords, he drove them all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and poured out the money of the exchangers, and overthrew the tables;
noyes@John:2:16 @ and said to those who sold the doves, Take these things hence; make not my Fathers house a house of merchandise.
noyes@John:2:17 @ His disciples remembered that it was written, "Zeal for thy house will consume me."
noyes@John:2:18 @ The Jews therefore answered and said to him, What sign dost thou show us, seeing thou doest these things?
noyes@John:2:19 @ Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
noyes@John:2:20 @ Then said the Jews, Fortysix years was this temple in building; and wilt thou raise it up in three days?
noyes@John:2:21 @ But he spoke of the temple of his body.
noyes@John:2:22 @ When therefore he had risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this; and they believed the Scripture, and the word which Jesus had spoken.
noyes@John:2:23 @ And when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, at the feast, many believed in his name, when they saw his signs which he wrought.
noyes@John:2:24 @ But Jesus did not trust himself to them, because he knew all men;
noyes@John:2:25 @ and had no need that any one should testify concerning man; for he himself knew what was in man.
