wesleynt John:5:1-15
wesleynt@John:5:1 @ After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
wesleynt@John:5:2 @ Now there is in Jerusalem, by the sheep-gate, a bath, which is called in the Hebrew tongue, Bethesda, having five porticos.
wesleynt@John:5:3 @ In these lay a great multitude of diseased, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
wesleynt@John:5:4 @ For an angel went down at certain times into the bath, and the water was troubled: and whosoever went in first, after the troubling of the water, was made whole, whatsoever disease he had.
wesleynt@John:5:5 @ And a certain man was there, who had been diseased eight and thirty years.
wesleynt@John:5:6 @ Jesus seeing him lie, and knowing that he had now been diseased a long time, saith to him, Desirest thou to be made whole?
wesleynt@John:5:7 @ The infirm man answered him, Sir, I have no man to put me into the bath, when the water is troubled; and while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
wesleynt@John:5:8 @ Jesus saith to him, Rise, take up thy bed and walk.
wesleynt@John:5:9 @ And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed and walked: and the same day was the sabbath.
wesleynt@John:5:10 @ Then said the Jews to him that was healed, It is the sabbath; it is not lawful for thee to take up the bed.
wesleynt@John:5:11 @ He answered, He that made me whole, he said to me, Take up thy bed and walk.
wesleynt@John:5:12 @ Then asked they him, Who is the man that said to thee, Take up thy bed and walk?
wesleynt@John:5:13 @ And he that was healed knew not who he was; for Jesus had retired, a multitude being in the place.
wesleynt@John:5:14 @ Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said to him, Lo, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come to thee.
wesleynt@John:5:15 @ The man departed and told the Jews, that it was Jesus who had made him whole.
