John:8:31-41
noyes@John:8:31 @ Jesus therefore said to those Jews who believed in him, If ye continue in my word, ye are truly my disciples;
noyes@John:8:32 @ and ye will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.
noyes@John:8:33 @ They answered him, We are Abrahams offspring, and have never been in bondage to any one; how sayest, thou, Ye will be made free?
noyes@John:8:34 @ Jesus answered them, Truly, truly do I say to you, Every one that committeth sin is a bondservant of sin.
noyes@John:8:35 @ And the bondservant abideth not in the house for ever; the son abideth for ever.
noyes@John:8:36 @ If therefore the Son make you free, ye will be free indeed.
noyes@John:8:37 @ I know that ye are Abrahams offspring; but ye seek to kill me, because my word is not received within you.
noyes@John:8:38 @ I speak what I have seen with the Father; and ye accordingly do what ye have seen with your father.
noyes@John:8:39 @ They answered and said to him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith to them, If ye were Abrahams children, ye would do the works of Abraham.
noyes@John:8:40 @ But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath spoken to you the truth, which I heard from God; this did not Abraham.
noyes@John:8:41 @ Ye do the works of your father. They said to him, We were not born of fornication; we have one Father, God.
