Mark:12-13

mkjv@Mark:12:1 @ And He began to speak to them by parables. A man planted a vineyard, and set a fence about [it], and dug a wine-vat, and built a tower, and [he] let it out to vinedressers, and went away.

mkjv@Mark:12:2 @ And at the season he sent a servant to the vinedressers, so that he might receive from the vinedressers the fruit of the vineyard.

mkjv@Mark:12:3 @ And taking [him], they beat him and sent [him] away empty.

mkjv@Mark:12:4 @ And again he sent to them another servant. And stoning that one, they struck [him] in the head, and sent [him] away, insulting him.

mkjv@Mark:12:5 @ And again he sent another. And they killed him, and many others, beating some and killing some.

mkjv@Mark:12:6 @ Therefore, still having one son, his own beloved, he also sent him to them last of all, saying, They will respect my son.

mkjv@Mark:12:7 @ But those vinedressers said among themselves, This is the heir! Come, let us kill him and the inheritance shall be ours.

mkjv@Mark:12:8 @ And they took him and killed [him] and cast [him] out of the vineyard.

mkjv@Mark:12:9 @ Therefore what will the lord of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the vinedressers and will give the vineyard to others.

mkjv@Mark:12:10 @ And have you not read this scripture The] Stone which the builders rejected has become the Head of [the] corner:

mkjv@Mark:12:11 @ this was from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes?

mkjv@Mark:12:12 @ And they sought to seize him, but feared the crowd. For they knew that He spoke the parable against them. And leaving Him, they went away.

mkjv@Mark:12:13 @ And they sent certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians to Him, to catch Him in [His] words.

mkjv@Mark:12:14 @ And coming, they said to Him, Teacher, we know that you are true and you care about no one. For you do not look to [the] face of men, but teach the way of God [in] truth. Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?

mkjv@Mark:12:15 @ Shall we give, or shall we not give? But knowing their hypocrisy, He said to them, Why do you tempt Me? Bring me a denarius so that I may see.

mkjv@Mark:12:16 @ And they brought [it]. And He said to them, Whose image and inscription is this? And they said to Him, Caesar's.

mkjv@Mark:12:17 @ And answering Jesus said to them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at Him.

mkjv@Mark:12:18 @ Then the Sadducees came to Him, who say there is no resurrection. And they asked Him, saying,

mkjv@Mark:12:19 @ Teacher, Moses wrote to us, If a man's brother die and leaves [his] wife, and leaves no children, his brother should take his wife and raise up seed to his brother.

mkjv@Mark:12:20 @ And there were seven brothers. And the first took a wife, and dying left no seed.

mkjv@Mark:12:21 @ And the second took her, and died; neither did he leave any seed. And the third likewise.

mkjv@Mark:12:22 @ And the seven had her, and left no seed. Last of all the woman also died.

mkjv@Mark:12:23 @ In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife will she be? For the seven had her as a wife.

mkjv@Mark:12:24 @ And answering Jesus said to them, Do you not err because of this, not knowing Scriptures, nor the power of God?

mkjv@Mark:12:25 @ For when they shall rise from [the] dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but they are as the angels in Heaven.

mkjv@Mark:12:26 @ And as regards the dead, that they rise, have you not read in the book of Moses how God spoke to him in the Bush, saying, I [am] the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob?

mkjv@Mark:12:27 @ He is not the God of [the] dead, but the God of [the] living. Therefore you greatly err.

mkjv@Mark:12:28 @ And coming up one of the scribes heard them reasoning, knowing that He had answered them well, he asked Him, Which is [the] first commandment of all?

mkjv@Mark:12:29 @ And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments [is], Hear, O Israel, [the] Lord our God is one Lord;

mkjv@Mark:12:30 @ and you shall love [the] Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength. This [is] the first commandment.

mkjv@Mark:12:31 @ And [the] second [is] like this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.

mkjv@Mark:12:32 @ And the scribe said to Him, Right, Teacher, according to truth You have spoken, that God is one, and there is no other besides Him.

mkjv@Mark:12:33 @ And to love Him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love the neighbor as himself, is more than all the burnt offerings and sacrifices.

mkjv@Mark:12:34 @ And seeing that he had answered intelligently, Jesus said to him, You are not far from the kingdom of God. And no one dared to question Him any more.

mkjv@Mark:12:35 @ And answering, teaching in the temple, Jesus said, How do the scribes say that Christ is the Son of David?

mkjv@Mark:12:36 @ For David himself said by the Holy Spirit: The LORD said to my Lord, Sit at My right hand until I place Your enemies as Your footstool.

mkjv@Mark:12:37 @ David therefore himself calls Him Lord, and why [then] is He his son? And the great crowd heard Him gladly.

mkjv@Mark:12:38 @ And He said to them in His teaching, Beware of the scribes, who love to walk about in robes, and [love] greetings in the markets,

mkjv@Mark:12:39 @ and the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost places at feasts

mkjv@Mark:12:40 @ who devour widows' houses, and as a pretense make long prayers. These shall receive greater condemnation.

mkjv@Mark:12:41 @ And sitting down opposite the treasury, Jesus watched how the people threw copper coins into the treasury. And many rich ones threw in much.

mkjv@Mark:12:42 @ And a certain poor widow came, and she threw in two lepta, which is a kodrantes.

mkjv@Mark:12:43 @ And He called His disciples and said to them, Truly I say to you that this poor widow has cast [in] more than all those who have cast into the treasury.

mkjv@Mark:12:44 @ For all cast in from their abundance. But she, out of her poverty, has cast [in] all that she had, all her livelihood.

mkjv@Mark:13:1 @ And as He went out of the temple, one of His disciples said to Him, Master, see! What stones and what buildings!

mkjv@Mark:13:2 @ And answering Jesus said to him, Do you see these great buildings? There shall not be one stone left on another that shall not be thrown down.

mkjv@Mark:13:3 @ And [as] He sat on the Mount of Olives, across from the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked Him privately,

mkjv@Mark:13:4 @ Tell us, When shall all these things be? And what [shall be] the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?

mkjv@Mark:13:5 @ And Jesus answering them began to say, Beware that no one deceive you.

mkjv@Mark:13:6 @ For many shall come in My name, saying, I AM, and shall deceive many.

mkjv@Mark:13:7 @ And when you shall hear [of] wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled. For it must happen, but the end [shall] not [be] yet.

mkjv@Mark:13:8 @ For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there shall be earthquakes in different places, and there shall be famines and troubles. These things [are] the beginnings of sorrows.

mkjv@Mark:13:9 @ But take heed to yourselves. For they shall deliver you up to sanhedrins, and in the synagogues you shall be beaten. And you shall be brought before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony against them.

mkjv@Mark:13:10 @ And the gospel must first be proclaimed to all nations.

mkjv@Mark:13:11 @ But whenever they lead [you] away and deliver [you] up, take no thought beforehand what you should speak or think. But speak whatever shall be given to you in that hour. For it is not you who speaks, but the Holy Spirit.

mkjv@Mark:13:12 @ And a brother will betray a brother to death, and a father his son. And children will rise up against [their] parents and will cause them to be put to death.

mkjv@Mark:13:13 @ And you will be hated by all for My name's sake, but he enduring to the end, that [one] will be kept safe.

mkjv@Mark:13:14 @ But when you see the abomination of desolation, that spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not (let him who reads understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

mkjv@Mark:13:15 @ And let him who is on the housetop not go down into the house, nor enter to take anything out of his house.

mkjv@Mark:13:16 @ And let him who is in the field not turn back again in order to take up his garment.

mkjv@Mark:13:17 @ But woe to those with [babe] in womb, and to those who give suck in those days!

mkjv@Mark:13:18 @ And pray that your flight is not in the winter.

mkjv@Mark:13:19 @ For [in] those days shall be affliction, such as has not been from [the] beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never [shall] be.

mkjv@Mark:13:20 @ And unless the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh would be saved. But for the elect's sake, whom He has chosen, He has shortened the days.

mkjv@Mark:13:21 @ And then if anyone shall say to you, Lo, here [is] Christ! Or, lo, there! Do not believe him.

mkjv@Mark:13:22 @ For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will give miraculous] signs and wonders in order to seduce, if possible, even the elect.

mkjv@Mark:13:23 @ But take heed; behold, I have told you all things beforehand.

mkjv@Mark:13:24 @ But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,

mkjv@Mark:13:25 @ and the stars of Heaven shall fall, and the powers in the heavens shall be shaken.

mkjv@Mark:13:26 @ And then they will see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

mkjv@Mark:13:27 @ And then He shall send His angels and shall gather His elect from the four winds, from [the] end of [the] earth to [the] end of heaven.

mkjv@Mark:13:28 @ And learn the parable of the fig-tree: when her branch is still tender and puts out leaves, you know that summer is near.

mkjv@Mark:13:29 @ So you also, when you see these things happening, you know that it is near, at [the] doors.

mkjv@Mark:13:30 @ Truly I say to you that this generation shall not pass away until all these things occur.

mkjv@Mark:13:31 @ Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away.

mkjv@Mark:13:32 @ But of that day and hour no one knows, no, not the angels in Heaven, nor the Son, but the Father.

mkjv@Mark:13:33 @ Take heed, watch and pray, for you do not know when the time is.

mkjv@Mark:13:34 @ As a man going away, leaving his house, and giving authority to his servants, and each man's work to him, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch.

mkjv@Mark:13:35 @ Then you watch, for you do not know when the lord of the house is coming, [at] evening, or at midnight, or at cockcrowing, or early;

mkjv@Mark:13:36 @ lest he come suddenly [and] find you sleeping.

mkjv@Mark:13:37 @ And what I say to you, I say to all. Watch.

mkjv@Mark:14:1 @ And after two days it was the Passover and [the Feast of] Unleavened [Bread. And the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take Him by craft and kill [Him.
