Mark:14:53-65
mkjv@Mark:14:53 @ And they led Jesus away to the high priest. And with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes.
mkjv@Mark:14:54 @ And Peter followed Him from a distance to the inside of the court of the high priest. And he sat with the servants and warmed himself at the fire.
mkjv@Mark:14:55 @ And the chief priests and all the sanhedrin sought for witness against Jesus, to put Him to death. And [they] found none.
mkjv@Mark:14:56 @ For many testified falsely against Him, but the testimonies were not identical.
mkjv@Mark:14:57 @ And certain ones rose up and bore false witness against Him, saying,
mkjv@Mark:14:58 @ We heard Him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.
mkjv@Mark:14:59 @ But neither was their testimony identical.
mkjv@Mark:14:60 @ And standing up in the middle, the high priest questioned Jesus, saying, Do you answer nothing? What [do] these witness against you?
mkjv@Mark:14:61 @ But He was silent and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked Him, saying to Him, Are you the Christ, the son of the Blessed?
mkjv@Mark:14:62 @ And Jesus said, I AM! And you will see the Son of man sitting on the right [hand] of power and coming in the clouds of the heaven.
mkjv@Mark:14:63 @ Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, What further need do we have of witnesses?
mkjv@Mark:14:64 @ You have heard the blasphemy; what do you think? And they all condemned Him to be guilty of death.
mkjv@Mark:14:65 @ And some began to spit on Him, and to cover His face and to beat Him, and to say to Him, Prophesy! And the under-officers struck Him with slaps.
