Mark:15-16

rkjnt@Mark:15:1 @ And immediately in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate.

rkjnt@Mark:15:2 @ And Pilate asked him, Are you the King of the Jews? And he said to him, You say so.

rkjnt@Mark:15:3 @ And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing.

rkjnt@Mark:15:4 @ And Pilate asked him again, saying, Have you no answer to make? behold how many things they testify against you.

rkjnt@Mark:15:5 @ But Jesus made no further answer; so that Pilate was amazed.

rkjnt@Mark:15:6 @ Now at the feast he released to them one prisoner, whomever they requested.

rkjnt@Mark:15:7 @ And there was one named Barabbas, who was in prison with his fellow rebels, who had committed murder in the insurrection.

rkjnt@Mark:15:8 @ And the multitude approached and began asking him to do for them as he usually did.

rkjnt@Mark:15:9 @ Pilate answered them, saying, Do you want me to release for you the King of the Jews?

rkjnt@Mark:15:10 @ For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him out of envy.

rkjnt@Mark:15:11 @ But the chief priests incited the people to have him release Barabbas to them.

rkjnt@Mark:15:12 @ And Pilate answered and said again to them, What then shall I do with him whom you call the King of the Jews?

rkjnt@Mark:15:13 @ And they cried out again, Crucify him.

rkjnt@Mark:15:14 @ Then Pilate said to them, Why, what evil has he done? And they cried out all the louder, Crucify him.

rkjnt@Mark:15:15 @ And so Pilate, wanting to satisfy the people, released Barabbas to them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.

rkjnt@Mark:15:16 @ And the soldiers led him away into the hall, called the Praetorium; and they called together the whole band of soldiers.

rkjnt@Mark:15:17 @ And they clothed him with purple, and weaved a crown of thorns, and put it on him,

rkjnt@Mark:15:18 @ And began to acclaim him, Hail, King of the Jews!

rkjnt@Mark:15:19 @ And they struck him on the head with a cane, and spat upon him, and bowed their knees in worship to him.

rkjnt@Mark:15:20 @ And when they had mocked him, they took the purple off of him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him.

rkjnt@Mark:15:21 @ And they compelled Simon, a Cyrenian who was passing by on his way in from the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross.

rkjnt@Mark:15:22 @ And they brought him to the place called Golgotha, which means, The place of a skull.

rkjnt@Mark:15:23 @ And they gave him wine to drink mingled with myrrh: but he would not take it.

rkjnt@Mark:15:24 @ And when they had crucified him, they divided his garments, casting lots for them, to decide what each man should take.

rkjnt@Mark:15:25 @ And it was the third hour when they crucified him.

rkjnt@Mark:15:26 @ And the inscription of the accusation against him was written above him, THE KING OF THE JEWS.

rkjnt@Mark:15:27 @ And with him they crucified two thieves; one on his right hand, and the other on his left.

rkjnt@Mark:15:28 @ [And the scripture was fulfilled, which says, And he was numbered with the transgressors.]

rkjnt@Mark:15:29 @ And those who passed by kept abusing him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, you who would destroy the temple, and build it in three days,

rkjnt@Mark:15:30 @ Save yourself, and come down from the cross.

rkjnt@Mark:15:31 @ Likewise, the chief priests mocked him among themselves and with the scribes, He saved others; but he cannot save himself.

rkjnt@Mark:15:32 @ Let Christ, the King of Israel, descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And those who were crucified with him also reviled him.

rkjnt@Mark:15:33 @ And when the sixth hour had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.

rkjnt@Mark:15:34 @ And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which means, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?

rkjnt@Mark:15:35 @ And some of those who stood by, when they heard it, said, Behold, he is calling Elijah.

rkjnt@Mark:15:36 @ And one ran and filled a sponge full of vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave it to him to drink, saying, Wait; let us see whether Elijah will come to take him down.

rkjnt@Mark:15:37 @ And Jesus cried out with a loud voice, and breathed his last.

rkjnt@Mark:15:38 @ And the veil of the temple was torn in two from the top to the bottom.

rkjnt@Mark:15:39 @ And when the centurion, who stood facing him, saw how he breathed his last, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.

rkjnt@Mark:15:40 @ There were also women looking on from afar: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;

rkjnt@Mark:15:41 @ (Who, when he was in Galilee, followed him, and ministered to him;) and many other women who came up with him to Jerusalem.

rkjnt@Mark:15:42 @ And when the evening had come, because it was the preparation day, that is, the day before the sabbath,

rkjnt@Mark:15:43 @ Joseph of Arimathaea, an honoured member of the council, who also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly to Pilate, and asked for the body of Jesus.

rkjnt@Mark:15:44 @ And Pilate wondered if he was dead so soon: and calling the centurion, he asked him if he was already dead.

rkjnt@Mark:15:45 @ And when he learned from the centurion that it was so, he gave the body to Joseph.

rkjnt@Mark:15:46 @ So he bought a fine linen cloth, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a tomb which was cut out of the rock, and rolled a stone against the door of the tomb.

rkjnt@Mark:15:47 @ Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses watched where he was laid.

rkjnt@Mark:16:1 @ And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought sweet spices, that they might go and anoint him.

rkjnt@Mark:16:2 @ And very early in the morning of the first day of the week, they came to the tomb at the rising of the sun.

rkjnt@Mark:16:3 @ And they said to one another, Who shall roll the stone away from the door of the tomb for us?

rkjnt@Mark:16:4 @ And when they looked, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had already been rolled away.

rkjnt@Mark:16:5 @ And entering into the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were amazed.

rkjnt@Mark:16:6 @ And he said to them, Do not be afraid: You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified: he has risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.

rkjnt@Mark:16:7 @ But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goes before you into Galilee: there you shall see him, as he told you.

rkjnt@Mark:16:8 @ And they went out quickly, and fled from the tomb; for they were trembling and amazed: and they said nothing to anyone; for they were afraid.

rkjnt@Mark:16:9 @ [Now when Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.

rkjnt@Mark:16:10 @ And she went and told those who had been with him, as they mourned and wept.

rkjnt@Mark:16:11 @ And they, when they heard that he was alive, and that she had seen him, did not believe.

rkjnt@Mark:16:12 @ After that he appeared in another form to two of them, as they walked, and went into the country.

rkjnt@Mark:16:13 @ And they went and told it to the others, who also did not believe them.

rkjnt@Mark:16:14 @ Afterward, he appeared to the eleven as they sat eating, and rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who saw him after he had risen.

rkjnt@Mark:16:15 @ And he said to them, Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

rkjnt@Mark:16:16 @ He who believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he who does not believe shall be condemned.

rkjnt@Mark:16:17 @ And these signs shall follow those who believe; In my name they shall cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

rkjnt@Mark:16:18 @ They shall pick up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

rkjnt@Mark:16:19 @ So after the Lord had spoken to them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

rkjnt@Mark:16:20 @ And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with accompanying signs.]

rkjnt@Acts:12:12 @ When he realized this, he went to the house of Mary, the mother of John, who was also called Mark; where many were gathered together praying.

rkjnt@Acts:12:25 @ And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem when they had fulfilled their ministry, bringing with them John, who was also called Mark.

rkjnt@Acts:15:37 @ And Barnabas wanted to take with them John, called Mark.

rkjnt@Acts:15:39 @ And the disagreement was so sharp between them, that they separated from each other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed to Cyprus;

rkjnt@Colossians:4:10 @ Aristarchus, my fellow prisoner, greets you, as does Mark, the cousin of Barnabas, (regarding him you received instructions: that if he comes to you, welcome him;)

rkjnt@2Timothy:4:11 @ Only Luke is with me. Get Mark, and bring him with you: for he is useful to me for the ministry.

rkjnt@Philemon:1:24 @ And from Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke, my fellow labourers.

rkjnt@1Peter:5:13 @ She who is in Babylon, chosen together with you, greets you; and so does Mark, my son.
