Mark:8:1-21

rkjnt@Mark:8:1 @ In those days another great multitude gathered, and as they had nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples to him, and said to them,

rkjnt@Mark:8:2 @ I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat:

rkjnt@Mark:8:3 @ And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint on the way: for some of them came from afar.

rkjnt@Mark:8:4 @ And his disciples answered him, Where can a man find enough bread to satisfy these men here in the wilderness?

rkjnt@Mark:8:5 @ And he asked them, How many loaves do you have? And they said, Seven.

rkjnt@Mark:8:6 @ And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and broke them, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and they set them before the people.

rkjnt@Mark:8:7 @ And they had a few small fish: which he blessed, and commanded to be set before them as well.

rkjnt@Mark:8:8 @ So they ate, and were filled: and of the broken pieces that were left over they picked up seven baskets.

rkjnt@Mark:8:9 @ And there were about four thousand people: and he sent them away.

rkjnt@Mark:8:10 @ And immediately he entered into a boat with his disciples, and went to the district of Dalmanutha.

rkjnt@Mark:8:11 @ And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question him, seeking from him a sign from heaven, testing him.

rkjnt@Mark:8:12 @ And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and said, Why does this generation seek after a sign? truly I say to you, There shall be no sign given to this generation.

rkjnt@Mark:8:13 @ And he left them, and entering into the boat again departed to the other side.

rkjnt@Mark:8:14 @ Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, and did not have in the boat with them more than one loaf.

rkjnt@Mark:8:15 @ And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and the leaven of Herod.

rkjnt@Mark:8:16 @ And they discussed among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread.

rkjnt@Mark:8:17 @ And being aware of this, Jesus said to them, Why do you discuss having no bread? do you not yet see or understand? are your hearts hardened?

rkjnt@Mark:8:18 @ Having eyes, do you not see? and having ears, do you not hear? and do you not remember?

rkjnt@Mark:8:19 @ When I broke the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments did you pick up? They said to him, Twelve.

rkjnt@Mark:8:20 @ And when I broke the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments did you pick up? And they said, Seven.

rkjnt@Mark:8:21 @ And he said to them, How is it that you do not understand?
