Matthew:13:1-23
noyes@Matthew:13:1 @ The same day Jesus went out of the house, and sat by the shore of the lake;
noyes@Matthew:13:2 @ and great multitudes were gathered together to him, so that he went into a boat, and sat down; and all the multitude stood on the beach.
noyes@Matthew:13:3 @ And he spoke many things to them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow.
noyes@Matthew:13:4 @ And as he sowed, some seeds fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them.
noyes@Matthew:13:5 @ And others fell upon rocky places, where they had not much earth; and they sprung up immediately, because they had no depth of earth.
noyes@Matthew:13:6 @ But when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
noyes@Matthew:13:7 @ And others fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up, and choked them.
noyes@Matthew:13:8 @ And others fell upon good ground; and yielded fruit, some a hundred fold, some Sixty, some thirty fold.

noyes@Matthew:13:10 @ And the disciples came and said to him, Why dost thou speak to them in parables?
noyes@Matthew:13:11 @ He answered and said, Because to you it hath been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven; but to them it hath not been given.
noyes@Matthew:13:12 @ For whoever hath, to him will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever hath not, from him will be taken away even what he hath.
noyes@Matthew:13:13 @ Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they see not, and hearing they hear not, nor understand.
noyes@Matthew:13:14 @ And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which saith, "Ye will hear indeed, and not understand; and ye will see indeed, and not perceive.
noyes@Matthew:13:15 @ For this peoples heart hath become gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and turn from their ways, and I should heal them."
noyes@Matthew:13:16 @ But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear.
noyes@Matthew:13:17 @ Truly do I say to you, that many prophets and righteous men desired to see the things which ye see, and did not see them; and to hear the things which ye hear, and did not hear them.
noyes@Matthew:13:18 @ Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
noyes@Matthew:13:19 @ When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, the Evil One cometh, and snatcheth away that which was sown in his heart; this man is what was sown by the wayside.
noyes@Matthew:13:20 @ And what was sown on the rocky places, this is he that heareth the word, and immediately receiveth it with joy,
noyes@Matthew:13:21 @ but, having no root within him, endureth only for a time; and when tribulation or persecution ariseth on account of the word, he immediately falleth away.
noyes@Matthew:13:22 @ And what was sown among the thorns, this is he that heareth the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
noyes@Matthew:13:23 @ And what was sown on the good ground, this is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; who also beareth fruit, and yieldeth, one a hundred fold, another sixty, another thirty fold.
