Matthew:19:1-12

rwbs@Matthew:19:1 @ And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the region of Judaea beyond Jordan;

rwbs@Matthew:19:2 @ And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.

rwbs@Matthew:19:3 @ The Pharisees also came to him, tempting him, and saying to him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?

rwbs@Matthew:19:4 @ And he answered and said to them, Have ye not read, that he who made at the beginning made them male and female,

rwbs@Matthew:19:5 @ And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they two shall be one flesh?

rwbs@Matthew:19:6 @ Therefore they are no more two, but one flesh. Therefore what God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

rwbs@Matthew:19:7 @ They say to him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?

rwbs@Matthew:19:8 @ He saith to them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts permitted you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.

rwbs@Matthew:19:9 @ And I say to you, Whoever shall put away his wife, except for immorality, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoever marrieth her who is put away committeth adultery.

rwbs@Matthew:19:10 @ His disciples say to him, If the case of the man is so with wife, it is not good to marry.

rwbs@Matthew:19:11 @ But he said to them, All cannot receive this saying, except to whom it is given.

rwbs@Matthew:19:12 @ For there are some eunuchs, who were so born from mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, who were made eunuchs by men: and there are eunuchs, who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive, let him receive.
