Matthew:26:57-68
mkjv@Matthew:26:57 @ And they who had seized Jesus led [Him] away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders had assembled.
mkjv@Matthew:26:58 @ But Peter followed Him afar off to the high priest's court, and he went in and sat with the servants to see the end.
mkjv@Matthew:26:59 @ And the chief priests and the elders and all the sanhedrin sought false witness against Jesus, in order to put Him to death.
mkjv@Matthew:26:60 @ But they found none; yea, though many false witnesses came, they found none. But at last two false witnesses came up
mkjv@Matthew:26:61 @ and said, This one said, I am able to destroy the temple of God and to build it in three days.
mkjv@Matthew:26:62 @ And standing up, the high priest said to Him, Do you answer nothing? What [is it that] these witness against you?
mkjv@Matthew:26:63 @ But Jesus was silent. And the high priest answered and said to Him, I adjure you by the living God that you tell us whether you are the Christ, the Son of God.
mkjv@Matthew:26:64 @ Jesus said to him, You said [it]. I tell you more. From this time you shall see the Son of man sitting on [the] right [hand] of power, and coming on the clouds of the heavens.
mkjv@Matthew:26:65 @ Then the high priest tore his clothes, saying, He has spoken blasphemy! What further need do we have of witnesses? Behold, now you have heard his blasphemy.
mkjv@Matthew:26:66 @ What do you think? They answered and said, He is worthy of death.
mkjv@Matthew:26:67 @ Then they spat in His face and beat Him with the fist. And others struck [Him] with the palms of their hands,
mkjv@Matthew:26:68 @ saying, Prophesy to us, Christ; who is the [one] who struck you?
