rsv@Psalms:42:2 @ As a hart longs for flowing streams, so longs my soul for thee, O God.

rsv@Psalms:42:3 @ My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and behold the face of God?

rsv@Psalms:42:4 @ My tears have been my food day and night, while men say to me continually, "Where is your God?"

rsv@Psalms:42:5 @ These things I remember, as I pour out my soul: how I went with the throng, and led them in procession to the house of God, with glad shouts and songs of thanksgiving, a multitude keeping festival.

rsv@Psalms:44:17 @ at the words of the taunters and revilers, at the sight of the enemy and the avenger.

rsv@Psalms:44:18 @ All this has come upon us, though we have not forgotten thee, or been false to thy covenant.

rsv@Psalms:44:19 @ Our heart has not turned back, nor have our steps departed from thy way,

rsv@Psalms:49:5 @ I will incline my ear to a proverb; I will solve my riddle to the music of the lyre.

rsv@Psalms:49:6 @ Why should I fear in times of trouble, when the iniquity of my persecutors surrounds me,

rsv@Psalms:49:7 @ men who trust in their wealth and boast of the abundance of their riches?

rsv@Psalms:49:8 @ Truly no man can ransom himself, or give to God the price of his life,

rsv@Psalms:49:9 @ for the ransom of his life is costly, and can never suffice,

rsv@Psalms:49:11 @ Yea, he shall see that even the wise die, the fool and the stupid alike must perish and leave their wealth to others.

rsv@Psalms:49:12 @ Their graves are their homes for ever, their dwelling places to all generations, though they named lands their own.

rsv@Psalms:49:13 @ Man cannot abide in his pomp, he is like the beasts that perish.

rsv@Psalms:49:14 @ This is the fate of those who have foolish confidence, the end of those who are pleased with their portion. [Selah]

rsv@Psalms:49:15 @ Like sheep they are appointed for Sheol; Death shall be their shepherd; straight to the grave they descend, and their form shall waste away; Sheol shall be their home.

rsv@Psalms:49:17 @ Be not afraid when one becomes rich, when the glory of his house increases.

rsv@Psalms:52:2 @ Why do you boast, O mighty man, of mischief done against the godly? All the day

rsv@Psalms:52:4 @ You love evil more than good, and lying more than speaking the truth. [Selah]

rsv@Psalms:52:6 @ But God will break you down for ever; he will snatch and tear you from your tent; he will uproot you from the land of the living. [Selah]

rsv@Psalms:52:7 @ The righteous shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him, saying,

rsv@Psalms:52:8 @ "See the man who would not make God his refuge, but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and sought refuge in his wealth!"

rsv@Psalms:53:2 @ The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, doing abominable iniquity; there is none that does good.

rsv@Psalms:53:3 @ God looks down from heaven upon the sons of men to see if there are any that are wise, that seek after God.

rsv@Psalms:53:4 @ They have all fallen away; they are all alike depraved; there is none that does good, no, not one.

rsv@Psalms:53:5 @ Have those who work evil no understanding, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and do not call upon God?

rsv@Psalms:53:6 @ There they are, in great terror, in terror such as has not been! For God will scatter the bones of the ungodly; they will be put to shame, for God has rejected them. [ (Psalms strkjv@53:7) O that deliverance for Israel would come from Zion! When God restores the fortunes of his people, Jacob will rejoice and Israel be glad. ]

rsv@Psalms:55:6 @ Fear and trembling come upon me, and horror overwhelms me.
