rsv@Psalms:9:2 @ I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart; I will tell of all thy wonderful deeds.

rsv@Psalms:9:3 @ I will be glad and exult in thee, I will sing praise to thy name, O Most High.

rsv@Psalms:9:4 @ When my enemies turned back, they stumbled and perished before thee.

rsv@Psalms:9:5 @ For thou hast maintained my just cause; thou hast sat on the throne giving righteous judgment.

rsv@Psalms:9:6 @ Thou hast rebuked the nations, thou hast destroyed the wicked; thou hast blotted out their name for ever and ever.

rsv@Psalms:9:7 @ The enemy have vanished in everlasting ruins; their cities thou hast rooted out; the very memory of them has perished.

rsv@Psalms:9:8 @ But the LORD sits enthroned for ever, he has established his throne for judgment;

rsv@Psalms:9:9 @ and he judges the world with righteousness, he judges the peoples with equity.

rsv@Psalms:9:10 @ The LORD is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.

rsv@Psalms:9:11 @ And those who know thy name put their trust in thee, for thou, O LORD, hast not forsaken those who seek thee.

rsv@Psalms:9:12 @ Sing praises to the LORD, who dwells in Zion! Tell among the peoples his deeds!

rsv@Psalms:9:13 @ For he who avenges blood is mindful of them; he does not forget the cry of the afflicted.

rsv@Psalms:9:14 @ Be gracious to me, O LORD! Behold what I suffer from those who hate me, O thou who liftest me up from the gates of death,

rsv@Psalms:9:15 @ that I may recount all thy praises, that in the gates of the daughter of Zion I may rejoice in thy deliverance.

rsv@Psalms:9:16 @ The nations have sunk in the pit which they made; in the net which they hid has their own foot been caught.

rsv@Psalms:9:17 @ The LORD has made himself known, he has executed judgment; the wicked are snared in the work of their own hands. [Higgaion. Selah]

rsv@Psalms:9:18 @ The wicked shall depart to Sheol, all the nations that forget God.

rsv@Psalms:9:19 @ For the needy shall not always be forgotten, and the hope of the poor shall not perish for ever.

rsv@Psalms:9:20 @ Arise, O LORD! Let not man prevail; let the nations be judged before thee! [ (Psalms strkjv@9:21) Put them in fear, O LORD! Let the nations know that they are but men! [Selah] ]

rsv@Psalms:10:1 @ Why dost thou stand afar off, O LORD? Why dost thou hide thyself in times of trouble?

rsv@Psalms:10:2 @ In arrogance the wicked hotly pursue the poor; let them be caught in the schemes which they have devised.

rsv@Psalms:10:3 @ For the wicked boasts of the desires of his heart, and the man greedy for gain curses and renounces the LORD.

rsv@Psalms:10:4 @ In the pride of his countenance the wicked does not seek him; all his thoughts are, "There is no God."

rsv@Psalms:10:5 @ His ways prosper at all times; thy judgments are on high, out of his sight; as for all his foes, he puffs at them.

rsv@Psalms:10:6 @ He thinks in his heart, "I shall not be moved; throughout all generations I shall not meet adversity."

rsv@Psalms:10:7 @ His mouth is filled with cursing and deceit and oppression; under his tongue are mischief and iniquity.

rsv@Psalms:10:8 @ He sits in ambush in the villages; in hiding places he murders the innocent. His eyes stealthily watch for the hapless,

rsv@Psalms:10:9 @ he lurks in secret like a lion in his covert; he lurks that he may seize the poor, he seizes the poor when he draws him into his net.

rsv@Psalms:10:10 @ The hapless is crushed, sinks down, and falls by his might.

rsv@Psalms:10:11 @ He thinks in his heart, "God has forgotten, he has hidden his face, he will never see it."

rsv@Psalms:10:12 @ Arise, O LORD; O God, lift up thy hand; forget not the afflicted.

rsv@Psalms:10:13 @ Why does the wicked renounce God, and say in his heart, "Thou wilt not call to account"?

rsv@Psalms:10:14 @ Thou dost see; yea, thou dost note trouble and vexation, that thou mayest take it into thy hands; the hapless commits himself to thee; thou hast been the helper of the fatherless.

rsv@Psalms:10:16 @ The LORD is king for ever and ever; the nations shall perish from his land.

rsv@Psalms:11:2 @ In the LORD I take refuge; how can you say to me, "Flee like a bird to the mountains;

rsv@Psalms:11:3 @ for lo, the wicked bend the bow, they have fitted their arrow to the string, to shoot in the dark at the upright in heart;

rsv@Psalms:11:4 @ if the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do"?

rsv@Psalms:11:5 @ The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD's throne is in heaven; his eyes behold, his eyelids test, the children of men.

rsv@Psalms:11:6 @ The LORD tests the righteous and the wicked, and his soul hates him that loves violence.

rsv@Psalms:11:7 @ On the wicked he will rain coals of fire and brimstone; a scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup. [ (Psalms strkjv@11:8) For the LORD is righteous, he loves righteous deeds; the upright shall behold his face. ]

rsv@Psalms:12:2 @ Help, LORD; for there is no longer any that is godly; for the faithful have vanished from among the sons of men.

rsv@Psalms:12:3 @ Every one utters lies to his neighbor; with flattering lips and a double heart they speak.

rsv@Psalms:12:4 @ May the LORD cut off all flattering lips, the tongue that makes great boasts,

rsv@Psalms:12:5 @ those who say, "With our tongue we will prevail, our lips are with us; who is our master?"

rsv@Psalms:12:6 @ "Because the poor are despoiled, because the needy groan, I will now arise," says the LORD; "I will place him in the safety for which he longs."

rsv@Psalms:12:7 @ The promises of the LORD are promises that are pure, silver refined in a furnace on the ground, purified seven times.

rsv@Psalms:13:3 @ How long must I bear pain in my soul, and have sorrow in my heart all the day? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?

rsv@Psalms:13:4 @ Consider and answer me, O LORD my God; lighten my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;

rsv@Psalms:13:5 @ lest my enemy say, "I have prevailed over him"; lest my foes rejoice because I am shaken.

rsv@Psalms:14:2 @ The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none that does good.

rsv@Psalms:14:3 @ The LORD looks down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there are any that act wisely, that seek after God.

rsv@Psalms:14:4 @ They have all gone astray, they are all alike corrupt; there is none that does good, no, not one.

rsv@Psalms:14:5 @ Have they no knowledge, all the evildoers who eat up my people as they eat bread, and do not call upon the LORD?

rsv@Psalms:14:6 @ There they shall be in great terror, for God is with the generation of the righteous.

rsv@Psalms:14:7 @ You would confound the plans of the poor, but the LORD is his refuge. [ (Psalms strkjv@14:8) O that deliverance for Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, Israel shall be glad. ]

rsv@Psalms:15:2 @ O LORD, who shall sojourn in thy tent? Who shall dwell on thy holy hill?

rsv@Psalms:15:3 @ He who walks blamelessly, and does what is right, and speaks truth from his heart;

rsv@Psalms:15:4 @ who does not slander with his tongue, and does no evil to his friend, nor takes up a reproach against his neighbor;

rsv@Psalms:15:5 @ in whose eyes a reprobate is despised, but who honors those who fear the LORD; who swears to his own hurt and does not change; [ (Psalms strkjv@15:6) who does not put out his money at interest, and does not take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved. ]

rsv@Psalms:16:2 @ Preserve me, O God, for in thee I take refuge.

rsv@Psalms:16:3 @ I say to the LORD, "Thou art my Lord; I have no good apart from thee."

rsv@Psalms:16:4 @ As for the saints in the land, they are the noble, in whom is all my delight.

rsv@Psalms:16:5 @ Those who choose another god multiply their sorrows; their libations of blood I will not pour out or take their names upon my lips.
