The Faith of Jesus Daily Devotional
by Randy Pritts
The FaithOfJesusDailyDevotional is a one year passage by passage reading of the four gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John. It contains my personal reading of the text both audion and video formatts, typically 3 to 5 minutes per day, perfect for even the busiest of schedules and portable devices.
- In this devotional we ask ourselves two important things with each passage:
- What might Jesus believe about the Father?
- What might Jesus believe about Himself?
In other words we study "the faith Jesus had/has" not so much "the faith we have in Jesus". It is my firm belief that for one to know what they believe about Jesus, one best get to know what Jesus believed about the Father and about Himself. So often our faith is so much smaller than it should be "ye of little faith", certainly much smaller than the faith Jesus had. What if our faith could be more of the substance of His? What if we could borrow from His? If we only knew what His faith was and where to find it. That is the point of this devotion.
Jesus' faith is not immediately visible in some passages. It may well take us conteplating the passage and context throughout the day to come to it. It may take further study and prayer; in fact I know that it will. In the past, I've taken this journey with Jesus three years consecutive and still learned from my Lord's faith daily. I look forward to devoting myself to this expidition once again with you. Instead of providing my commentary throughout, I will leave the experience totally up to you.
