Today's Verse:

kjv@Luke:10:1-24

kjv@Luke:10:1 @ After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.

kjv@Luke:10:2 @ Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

kjv@Luke:10:3 @ Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.

kjv@Luke:10:4 @ Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way.

kjv@Luke:10:5 @ And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house.

kjv@Luke:10:6 @ And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again.

kjv@Luke:10:7 @ And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.

kjv@Luke:10:8 @ And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:

kjv@Luke:10:9 @ And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

kjv@Luke:10:10 @ But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say,

kjv@Luke:10:11 @ Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

kjv@Luke:10:12 @ But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.

kjv@Luke:10:13 @ Woe unto thee, Chorazin woe unto thee, Bethsaida for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

kjv@Luke:10:14 @ But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment, than for you.

kjv@Luke:10:15 @ And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down to hell.

kjv@Luke:10:16 @ He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.

kjv@Luke:10:17 @ And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.

kjv@Luke:10:18 @ And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

kjv@Luke:10:19 @ Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

kjv@Luke:10:20 @ Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

kjv@Luke:10:21 @ In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

kjv@Luke:10:22 @ All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.

kjv@Luke:10:23 @ And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see:

kjv@Luke:10:24 @ For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

Notes:

The Lord's face is now towards Jerusalem and it is known and has created an advance stir with the public. Now Jesus sends thirty-five teams of healers/exorcists ahead of Him almost as if in battle formation cutting a broad swath of territory from a distance between Himself and the temple city. The turf that would have been extremely difficult for the religious elite to defend against with seven teams is nearly impossible to defend against from thirty-five. They are sent with near military operational orders made for lightening speed and set for immediate field intel of who and what towns are for or opposed; not that the Lord doesn't already know but that the cities are forced to make their definitive choice. The compact but powerful message at hand to each is that "the kingdom of heaven is at hand" lest there be any doubt that they did not know what was being decided upon. The seventy return with word of having accomplished what had been commanded.

As a citizen, how do you not choose to favor the King of the Eternal Kingdom when He is healing as no other ever recorded all the sick around you and casting demons from those you know and love so well? As a city, how do you not favor the King of the prophetic Kingdom when He hands that ability to twelve others? As the religious nerve center, how do you not favor the King of Kingdom of the forefathers when seventy now march successfully with the same anointing in your general direction announcing His face is set? This being said many do not favor, they obstruct, they deny, they vehemently reject and set out to destroy Him. Surely no kingdom approaching would go unchallenged, yet at the same time why would it then be rash or unreasonable to sentence these combatants to anything less than had already been sentenced to Sodom?

Multitudes many times over have heard Him. Multitudes just as big have seen His works; they have come to Him with the faith and intent of these works being done for them. Multitudes even larger have heard the rumors of Jesus and discussions and considerations of even those from the foreign lands beyond. And now that it is time to choose and to make a stand even at personal cost we begin to see just how deceitfully the sinful human heart operates. There is success reported by the returning teams at this very moment. The war is far from over for the King however... and the purpose for which He goes to Jerusalem yet remains.

The question becomes what is it then that the people in mass are soon to reject? From the time before Jesus could even walk or talk people were hearing word's like "king" and "kingdom" and "deliverer"; plenty of time for them to consider and envision His intents. From the time of twelve years old there was an eye on Him doctrinally. John the Baptist himself had prepared the hearts of the public and identified that the one they have had their eye on on this time was in fact the one he was not even worthy to tie His shoes. So is it His "love God/neighbor/enemy" message they reject? Is it His "hey lets cut back on these contradictory traditions" "get back to the truer meaning" meassage? Is it His "healing all that came" to Him works? Is it His "here I will multiply my effort thirty-five fold so that everyone can be healed" work? Would not everyone have been fine if that was it? Even His "King" message, there were people back at the lake wanting Him to be their king that very day. Well then that leaves His "I am the Son of God" "God has sent me" "no one comes to the Father but by me" message; just as it is today. That leaves His "the son of man must be betrayed and suffer at the hands" message that is just now starting to develop. It is that a man that insane claims such things can conjure up all of this false evidence and deceptive works. Why? Because otherwise it means that we have to wholly follow Him at His will and not the opposite.

The certainty is not the facts and evidences presented. The certainty is what we choose rather conveniently to believe that they mean. It is not that perception is reality as much as our self desire forms our deceit and self deceit is our reality.

Key Messages:

Declaring Certainty

kjv@John:3:18 @ He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

kjv@John:3:19 @ And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

kjv@John:3:20 @ For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

kjv@John:3:21 @ But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

kjv@Isaiah:53:1 @ Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

kjv@Isaiah:53:2 @ For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

kjv@Isaiah:53:3 @ He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

kjv@Isaiah:53:4 @ Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
