Today's Verse:

kjv@Luke:4:38-44

kjv@Luke:4:38 @ And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon's house. And Simon's wife's mother was taken with a great fever; and they besought him for her.

kjv@Luke:4:39 @ And he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she arose and ministered unto them.

kjv@Luke:4:40 @ Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.

kjv@Luke:4:41 @ And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ.

kjv@Luke:4:42 @ And when it was day, he departed and went into a desert place: and the people sought him, and came unto him, and stayed him, that he should not depart from them.

kjv@Luke:4:43 @ And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.

kjv@Luke:4:44 @ And he preached in the synagogues of Galilee.

Notes:

It may be wise in the deliberation of sickness and disease as it effects us to first separate what God is sending to the nation Israel as a double measure in connection to the covenant from all other to know what is from HIM and what is not. kjv@Deuteronomy:28:59-61 is famously held as proof that God sends sickness to all people, yet it is specifically addressed to Israel. kjv@2Samuel:12:15 the LORD struck a child born out of sin to the King of Israel. kjv@Acts:12:23 Herod is struck for the god like rebuke of Tyre and Sidon. Other scriptures referencing the nation are kjv@Leviticus:26:14-16 kjv@2Chronicles:21:12-15 kjv@Isaiah:1:5 kjv@Ezekiel:14:19-21 kjv@Jeremiah:29:18 kjv@Jeremiah:34:17 and many more as well. There are the illnesses of other nations as well kjv@Deuteronomy:7:15 brought upon either by Israel's rebellious envy toward or by the other nation's hatred for Israel. In the New Testiment kjv@1Corinthians:11:30 references individuals partaking of the Holy Communion unworthily. The composite idea seems to be in holding or being close to or being in covenant to something sacred without due reverence and obedience.

That being delineated, then are all the ailments one brings upon themselves kjv@Hosea:7:5 kjv@Job:20:11 etc... In kjv@Daniel:8:27 there is a sickness brought by the weight and attempted comprehension of a prophetic vision. There are also the ailments given Job (predating the nation) by Satan (one must ask though how often this actually is allowed). What we are left with are the ills other people bring upon us and the ills, viruses and genetics connected likely to the common curse/process/elements of death; the separation from the "tree of life".

If we are to seek and pray to God in these times, if we are to rely and be sustained by Him in these afflictions, if we are to patiently anticipate His healing and deliverance from such, then it is best that we know what it is that is occurring/why/from whom. If it is from Him then "there is none" that can deliver out of His hand. If it is of another source then there is nothing that can steal out of His hand.

Key Messages:

Declaring Certainty

kjv@Psalms:107:21 @ Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

kjv@Psalms:103:17 @ But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;

kjv@Psalms:103:18 @ To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.

kjv@Deuteronomy:32:39 @ See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.
