Focus:

kjv@Revelation:14:12 @ Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

( FaithOfJesus thread begun by rRandyP )

Today's Verse:

kjv@Matthew:13:36-43

kjv@Matthew:13:36 @ Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

kjv@Matthew:13:37 @ He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

kjv@Matthew:13:38 @ The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

kjv@Matthew:13:39 @ The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

kjv@Matthew:13:40 @ As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

kjv@Matthew:13:41 @ The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

kjv@Matthew:13:42 @ And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

kjv@Matthew:13:43 @ Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Today's notes: And They Shall Gather

Context:

What is man believing/doing?:

What is making man to believe/do as he is doing?:

Notes:

The disciples had heard at least two other parables without first knowing the understanding of the tares. They had been told that it was not for just anybody to know. Until this was written no one else knew but His/their close followers.

Even with His breakdown do we yet know the full concept and all of it's implications?

The all compassionate God argument severely limits the perceived ability of God to make things right, to complete His work as He intended, to be truly compassionate to those that long stood by His side and held true to their enlistment even unto death. It denies that the future kingdom is anything different than what we already have. It is to say that the children of the evil one have equal right and entitlement to the future kingdom even though they fought long and hard against it. That the compassion of God is nothing more than the obligation we impose on Him.

Key Messages:

    What does this say about our present condition?
  1. For many the kingdom is happening behind their backs, they feel that they can ignore it, withhold it, play it off as fable, go about iniquity as always. This is what offends the Lord and His host and His kingdom. Battle lines are set and enemies are fully engaged yet they casually drift across the field unawares, self absorbed and vain.
  2. For several ignorance is rather arrogance, defiantly opposed to the working of God's plan. The mindset of the wicked is that God is not watching, that He doesn't care, that He will not require it from them.They give all appearance to the simple yet secretly set traps for the righteous to fall into. They seek to devour.
