kjv@Revelation:14:12 @ Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

( FaithOfJesus thread begun by rRandyP )

Today's Verse:

kjv@Matthew:21:33-46

kjv@Matthew:21:33 @ Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country:

kjv@Matthew:21:34 @ And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it.

kjv@Matthew:21:35 @ And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another.

kjv@Matthew:21:36 @ Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise.

kjv@Matthew:21:37 @ But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son.

kjv@Matthew:21:38 @ But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us killhim, and let us seize on his inheritance.

kjv@Matthew:21:39 @ And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him.

kjv@Matthew:21:40 @ When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen?

kjv@Matthew:21:41 @ They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons.

kjv@Matthew:21:42 @ Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

kjv@Matthew:21:43 @ Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

kjv@Matthew:21:44 @ And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

kjv@Matthew:21:45 @ And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them.

kjv@Matthew:21:46 @ But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.

Today's notes: This is the Lord's Doing

Context:

What is man believing/doing?:

What is making man to believe/do as he is doing?:

Notes:

kjv@Psalms:118:22-23 corner stone

Notice that they are not afraid to do what they are going to do because of the possible judgment of God, they believe that they have the position and authority. Instead they are afraid of the multitude that hold Him as a prophet.

This generation of husbandmen were likely not involved with the stoning and beating of the others that came before Christ. However, the end result of what they have planned out provides a clear continuity behaving as if the several generations were as one. Neither do all husbandmen present have to be in the know to be in cahoots. This crop of husbandmen were miserably destroyed in 70 AD and the kingdom removed to another nation (Christianity).

Key Messages:

What does this say about our present condition?
  1. If a ultra religious man with all his knowledge, with the best of all his intentions, can be in cahoots with something he does not know about, what possibility does that present for those of us who know little? What sinister plan might we be in cahoots unknowingly with?
  2. The claim of Christian's that the kingdom is with them now angers a great many others today, even some Christians. Everyone wishes to think that they also have a part/whole of it or that the kingdom was never removed from them in the first place. Anyone on their own can claim this and they do. The Christian claim however is expressed in this: that if the fruit/kingdom/inheritance is rightly Christ's and He has come back to take possession of said rightful claim, those opposed to His claim/possession are attempting to steal it for their own and to do so must do away with His existence in some shape or form. Who amongst these others are attempting to do this? All others, even some nominal Christians. Who then would Christ transition His kingdom to? Those that maintain His rightful claim and possession. Who is doing that? The Christians. For anything other to be true Christ's claim/possession has to be false.
