kjv@Matthew:8:16 @ When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick;

Today's notes: They Brought Unto Him

Context:

What is man believing/doing?:

What is making man to believe/do as he is doing?:

Notes:

Where does sickness go when one is healed by Jesus? It is borne in Him. Why does that differ from the spirits that He rather casts outward? Because He cannot be touched by evil, like Teflon evil can not penetrate nor stick to Him being divine. Does this mean that He himself is become sick? No it likely means that He carries them Himself to their intended destination.

Common perception would have us to believe that Jesus was using healing and other miracles as a promotional calling card to build up His fame and popularity. This notion neglects to account for His drive to fulfill the prophets, to minister to, to express/reveal the Father, to release the captives by compassion.

Key Messages:

    What does this say about our present condition?
  1. We tend to think that we presently command or should command or will one day command sickness. Seldom is the though that our savior literally bears our infirmities. Different then is the notion and the perception of what He sees Himself actually doing on these many occasions in the midst of people beyond number.
  2. Some men and women are responding favorably to Jesus' ministry as it addresses their immediate needs even though none yet understand fully their future need transitioning from this life into the next and all that our Savior has done to accomplish a much better path. Others increasingly are sensing a revelation that they would rather not entertain at this point in their iniquity.
