tcent@Acts:23:6 @ But when Paul perceived that one part were Sadducees and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, »Brethren, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees; with respect to the hope and the resurrection of the dead I am on trial.«

tcent@Acts:23:7 @ When he said this, a dissension broke out between the Pharisees and the Sadducees, and the assembly was divided.

tcent@Acts:23:9 @ There occurred a great uproar; and some of the scribes of the Pharisees' party stood up and began to argue heatedly, saying, »We find nothing wrong with this man. What if a spirit or an angel has spoken to him?«

tcent@Acts:23:13 @ There were more than forty who formed this plot.

tcent@Acts:23:14 @ They went to the chief priests and the elders and said, »We have bound ourselves under a solemn oath to taste nothing until we have killed Paul.

tcent@Acts:23:16 @ But the son of Paul's sister heard of their ambush, and he went and entered the barracks and told Paul.

tcent@Acts:23:20 @ And he said, »The Jews have agreed to ask you to bring Paul down tomorrow to the Council, as though they were going to inquire somewhat more thoroughly about him.

tcent@Acts:25:6 @ After he had spent not more than eight or ten days among them, he went down to Caesarea, and on the next day he took his seat on the tribunal and ordered Paul to be brought.

tcent@Acts:25:10 @ But Paul said, »I am standing before Caesar's tribunal, where I ought to be tried. I have done no wrong to the Jews, as you also very well know.

tcent@Acts:25:12 @ Then when Festus had conferred with his council, he answered, »You have appealed to Caesar, to Caesar you shall go.«

tcent@Acts:25:14 @ While they were spending many days there, Festus laid Paul's case before the king, saying, »There is a man who was left as a prisoner by Felix;

tcent@Acts:27:27 @ But when the fourteenth night came, as we were being driven across the Adriatic Sea, about midnight the sailors began to sense that they were approaching land.
