Notes:

By the very definition miracles are beyond typical experience and natural deduction and therefore are highly debatable even among witnesses to the event. Yet is the big miracle that the intellectual expects to see before attributing something to the hand of a supernatural God. While miracles may not be a clear cut undeniable sign to others in our case for certainty, they are a clear cut sign of the critic's pantheistic beliefs and the forms of logic he/she must use to keep the miraculous unmiraculous. The simple fact is that the intellectual or naturalist eagerly seek a sign, not to prove though but disprove the suggestion of a supernatural God.

Too often I feel, we (both/all sides) fall into the trap of becoming too involved on proving the certainty of our view being right rather than conveying the certain differences of views and resultant logic drawn from each. No view point in this regard is completely defensible except perhaps the atheist's; that however does not mean that the atheist's is anywhere near being right, it is merely the defense of having no view point.

Here is where the logic for the Christian might turn however: If a supernatural God seeks to show Himself therein and confirm His message thereby while all to well knowing that such pantheistic logic is so widely prevalent, it either says that He is wrongly approaching them or that they are wrongly approaching Him (which is the entire supposition of the Bible). Truth is that there is no natural way to explain Jesus feeding five thousand men plus then women and any children from five loves and two small fish. Neither does there have to be if that is the way He intended it. He is not violating natural law especially if natural law proceeded to carry it out and if the supernatural God was the one telling Him to do it as one of these many signs. The logic further derived from that is no less defensible than the logic formed in the opposite direction unless it can be somehow proven one way or the other that these many miracles did or did not in fact happen; which is the likely impossible pursuit of the oppositions. Some would say it is the pursuit over a false dilemma which declares much about the certainty of their uncertainty regarding truth in general.

It does not appear that there was much historical conversation at the time of the absurdity of the claims being made, debate tended to be as to the meaning and source of such events occurring. Had the claim of such events been grossly unsupported there would be much more documented evidence at the time of the claim of these events being preposterous. Minus this feedback, we are left to the evidence suggesting that such events surrounding these miraculous claims likely existed.
