The FaithOfJesus2 Daily Devotional

Focus:

kjv@Revelation:14:12 @ Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

( FaithOfJesus thread begun by rRandyP )

Today's Verse:

kjv@Matthew:6:25-34

kjv@Matthew:6:25 @ Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

kjv@Matthew:6:26 @ Behold the fowls of the air; for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

kjv@Matthew:6:27 @ Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

kjv@Matthew:6:28 @ And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin;

kjv@Matthew:6:29 @ And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

kjv@Matthew:6:30 @ Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

kjv@Matthew:6:31 @ Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

kjv@Matthew:6:32 @ (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

kjv@Matthew:6:33 @ But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

kjv@Matthew:6:34 @ Take therefore no thought for the morrow; for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Today's notes:

Context:

What is man believing/doing?:

What is making man to believe/do as he is doing?:

Notes:

The many examples we have of the Christ transformed people we have like the Apostle Paul, who knew how to be content in all things, rich in poverty and poor in abundance.

Key Messages:

What does this say about our present condition?
  1. If the first observance was the eye or focus and what our will pays service to, the secondary observance is that the eye/focus while technically is on mammon, the literal absorption is more practically the things mammon is believed to bring (food/drink/raiment/shelter/stature). One can say Mammon is not their god, but the majority of their daily pursuit is exactly that. How then can it be said that it is not served?
  2. The righteousness of the true God simply is not a part of our typical consideration. We look at the notion of such as being His role as enforcer and punisher, not as His role being all right things and further all things in the right/perfect balance.
