Notes:

Both Father and Spirit are present to confirm Jesus in the witness of the great prophet John. How many others witnessed this confirmation was not emphasized as important. Had no one else been there it would have been sufficient for it is as much as confirmed in every work that in union Jesus from here on out did. And for us it is much the same as we intellectually prefer what was proven to have been done over what was symbolically pointed to. It is substantial to the faith once of the faith, but not prerequisite in singular form to one's coming to the faith.

There are not as many names of scriptural significance in Mary's line as it is lacking much of the kingly line that Joseph's line had. Traditional Jewish genealogical preference is given to the male line which is often why many Jews dismiss the line of Mary as a proof of messianic claim. This is largely because legally the male line was held as the measure for the inheritance of property and wealth. There is nothing in prophecy to suggest that the traditional restriction had any bearing on prophetic fulfillment. In fact it would be impossible for Messiah to be born of man sinless if left to the male seed; the woman's line would have to be taken up at some point. This may be why the original messianic prophecy was given to Eve and not Adam. If left to the male seed Messiah could not be born; this then is where the Jewish criticism is left: Messiah-less.

There is always much conversation surrounding Adam, many sides taken, none of it spoken of certainty because the Bible chooses rather not to make it a point of certainty. Just as uncertain as the bible is on these points, so too is the "science" others attempt to apply to make cases in any other direction. To explain the complexity of creation and man's original generation may not be as immediately important as what has happened to mankind as a whole in the interim. As much as science can tell us about our physical world, it has little to tell us about our base behavioral nature and why it is observed being so universally effected by such plaguing/perplexing realities. Certainly we would all like to know just how our physical world came about, but is it the first thing that on a list of many things that we spiritually need to know? Would just knowing solve our other ills or make them worse? Would it necessarily have to be believed by man in his current condition even if made certain? What is seen by some as a hole in the Bible's logic may in fact be a window; a hole from the other side we see as science. This is not to diminish the importance of this information, it is to put it (as God see's it) in a more proper perspective and priority (a window on the other side of the room in a much larger house within the rule of His household).
