Today's Verse:

kjv@Luke:6:17-26

kjv@Luke:6:17 @ And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases;

kjv@Luke:6:18 @ And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed.

kjv@Luke:6:19 @ And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.

kjv@Luke:6:20 @ And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.

kjv@Luke:6:21 @ Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.

kjv@Luke:6:22 @ Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.

kjv@Luke:6:23 @ Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

kjv@Luke:6:24 @ But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.

kjv@Luke:6:25 @ Woe unto you that are full for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now for ye shall mourn and weep.

kjv@Luke:6:26 @ Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.

Notes:

Reward in heaven is a difficult point to sell to others with any certainty. Many do not believe in heaven or else believe that all will have equal share. That is to say that either there is no reward for a lifetime of patient suffering or no punishment for the callous perpetuation of other's great need. The certainty may be better observed in the product of each uncertain viewpoint through the course of an individual's life and society as a whole.

It is certain that those without the framework of a reward have a wide open allowance to whatever they feel deserved by them in this life. Not that all wrongfully exploit this self allowance, but that opportunity is with certainty much greater and the accumulative product is one entirely of self.

It too is certain that those with an equal or unconditional future mindset have a much narrowed or closed off allowance placing the burden entirely upon God's acceptance of any and all human behaviors and product rather than any proper/reverent/transformative response of individuals to God's obvious immutable and perfect character and better desires for His creation. It is not any special reward at that point logically, it is merely further allowance for their own actions and holding God responsible for any present want or need.

In either case consequence is reduced to whatever one thinks they can manage and thereto whatever they feel society can manage for them as well.

Key Messages:
