What is God's righteousness observed doing?:

healing the a disciple's wife's mother through Jesus by touching and lifting
healing all diseased and casting out devils of all possessed that are brought to Jesus one by one before many
forbidding the devils to speak

What does this tell us about God's righteousness?:

restoration is a very personal one on one/hands on proposition
no mention is recorded of their belief or faith or sin
part of preforming the act of THEIR righteousness is to forbid the agents of unrighteousness from influencing our perception of who THEY are.

How is man reacting?:

all the city gathered at the door, many witnessing

Notes:

In similar fashion we are asked to consider where sickness and disease come from? how is it that they are allowed? why are wholesale mass healings (or eliminations) not being provided? This time it is in conjunction with the possession that we've already previously discussed. And again our best answer is frankly we do not have all the answers nor will come to them completely on our own. Therefore we are asked to give God the presumption of righteousness first.

We do know that death is directly part of the original curse and that disease and sickness are a tentacle of that death. Let us then ask whether the curse upon the sons of Adam is or could be righteous? If the righteousness of the issuance of this curse remains yet unbroken/unlifted until all righteousness is fulfilled, then so too the associated elements connected to it.

That is not to say that sickness itself is righteous in any manner, it is to say the sickness in all manners is part of the curse. That is not to say that the curse in itself is righteous, not if that were all that there was to the provision now of God. It is to say that what is righteous is the further provisions of God to lift said curse from each son of Adam individually by said righteousness.

The curse better stated is what the Adam has provided all his descendent's by unrighteously seeking to become god's in his own eyes. Righteousness cannot be made from that unrighteous act. Righteousness however can be offered by God in mercifully extending HIS hand to pull the Adams back out if by righteous terms.

What we most often fail to consider is that our time each of us under this present curse is mercifully short and so much has been done by HIM to see that it's duration does not go unproductive in terms everlasting if we so accept HIS righteous offer of reconciliation. The offer is not forced nor coerced, but requires transformative engagement with spiritual regeneration, this on HIS terms not ours.

We should then consider well the issuance of this curse, whether it be righteous. Not just righteous on the scales of our limited and often selfish perspective, but righteous on a eternal/all creation/all knowing/all loving/never again to fall perspective.

What does this say about our present condition?

We are very limited in understanding the breadth and scope of all matters without actually seeing it top down layer by layer as one solid whole. We see sickness, we see threat. We see suffering, we see harm. We choose to search for some type of righteousness within just that, where there is little to be found. Instead, try looking above strikingly beyond that to the righteousness of a most gracious creator who has the best plan and offer provided to all.
Like Peter's mother in law, our service today to our Lord may not be of great and academic grandeur. It may be simply to rise up from our own difficulty and minister to the weary faithful gathered for sup. It is a great service for today perhaps leading to even greater faithful service tomorrow.
Not everyone attempting to make our savior known is making Him known for His purposes. Some mean to tie Him down with the same associations others make of them. Our Righteous Lord will not be tied to such!
