Today's Verse:

kjv@Mark:4:26 @ And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;

kjv@Mark:4:27 @ And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.

kjv@Mark:4:28 @ For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.

kjv@Mark:4:29 @ But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.

What is God's righteousness observed doing?:

• casting seed with an eye toward harvest
  
• rising night and day
  

What does this tell us about God's righteousness?:

• The ground would not bare such fruit had it not been for this particular seed, the man planting it, the time and care of the man, the man knowing of what time to raise the sickle. The righteousness here is that this is a special crop and process other than just ground left to it's own untended. The kingdom then is a result of the man.
  
• Even though the ground plays a necessary part in the eventual production, it is not the ground's conscious intent nor effort or fruit that makes this, the ground is doing what ground does, elements spread into the ground and the working of the soil by the man are making this to happen.
  
• Seed in, much seed out. If the seed is His word, His word invested in is confirming itself in multiplied returns out. It is a testament to His word that this is being achieved with the present conditions being as they are and the resistance being what it is.

Notes:

The man consistently in this testament is the Son of God, the seed His word, the ground the world, the sickle judgment, the harvested bounty the kingdom of God (plus the process/principals to achieve it). In some parables we also have birds of the air generally evil in nature/purpose and impostor tares of similar appearance not planted by this man. The ability to receive seed suggests the condition of the heart, the ability to bare fruit a condition of abiding in the man's righteousness.

This is not to say that this particular man does not know how the plant grows. It is to say that He would not need to know because His Father has made it to be so, it would work so regardless of how much He knew. In the case of another man, say this man's enemy in another parable, the enemy would not need to know how the tare grows in order to plant his word much the same. In fact it almost seems an easier process for him not having to garner the endurance and single minded devotion toward the better seed's fruitfulness, only having to provide for the clutter and confusion and appearance of comradery; his fruit is anything other than what the man is able to produce.

Righteousness is the character/intention/manner of the man regardless what we know Him to be doing, examined by us of course more readily in His ability to so determine and execute the entire process in precise manner start to finish.

1. The foundational elements of our present state are being used as a platform to build/grow something much grander/everlasting and to multiply the instances of His word.
