Focus:

kjv@Revelation:14:12 @ Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

( FaithOfJesus thread begun by rRandyP )

Today's Verse:

kjv@Matthew:12:38-45

kjv@Matthew:12:38 @ Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.

kjv@Matthew:12:39 @ But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas;

kjv@Matthew:12:40 @ For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

kjv@Matthew:12:41 @ The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.

kjv@Matthew:12:42 @ The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it; for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

kjv@Matthew:12:43 @ When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.

kjv@Matthew:12:44 @ Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.

kjv@Matthew:12:45 @ Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

Today's notes: Evil Adulterous Generation Seeketh

Context:

What is man believing/doing?:

What is making man to believe/do as he is doing?:

Notes:

Curious connection of evil/adulterous generation and a man released of one evil spirit only to be taken by seven others. The common factor appears to be unrepentance.

Key Messages:

What does this say about our present condition?
  1. Signs in general are never enough to change hearts. Of all the signs already witnessed, many have followed but few will not be offended when the true course is fulfilled.
  2. Our field of vision is very small choosing to view the short momentary events individually or compartmentalized rather than the whole collection as an entirety. Does not all of these add up to all this? Does not all the healings/teachings/miracles add up to a offense/miscarriage of justice/crucification/death and then ressuection? Is that not "the sign"?
