The FaithOfJesus2 Daily Devotional

Focus:

kjv@Revelation:14:12 @ Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

( FaithOfJesus thread begun by rRandyP )

Today's Verse:

kjv@Matthew:18:15-20

kjv@Matthew:18:15 @ Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.

kjv@Matthew:18:16 @ But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

kjv@Matthew:18:17 @ And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

kjv@Matthew:18:18 @ Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

kjv@Matthew:18:19 @ Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

kjv@Matthew:18:20 @ For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Today's notes: Binding And Loosing

Context:

What is man believing/doing?:

What is making man to believe/do as he is doing?:

Notes:

kjv@Matthew:23:4 Jesus speaks of the religious binding heavy burdens.

This passage is often taken out of context to go along with the binding or casting out of Satan or devils. Which it could not mean because there are no devils to be bound or loosed in heaven. And why would Jesus allow them to be so according to our word? It is also used in the sense of enemies and sicknesses and riches which is similarly ridiculous if to be loosed in heaven as well. What in the remaining context suggests such? There is however collaborative evidence that the Father will forgive us in Heaven as we forgive those trespass against us.

This passage is also taken out of context to go along with the notion of guaranteed answered prayer for whatever two or more pray for. What that has to do with the context of reconciliation between brothers and the binding agreements they make between each other and the body of Christ becomes mostly absent. The logic held is that the string of context Matthew has carefully woven together from kjv@Matthew:18:1 takes a sudden vacation verses kjv@Matthew:18:18-20 only to pick back up kjv@Matthew:18:21-35 where in kjv@Matthew:18:27 the lord of the servant looses/forgives him from his debt. All this so that the non abiding petitioner can have whatever it is from the Father that they want.

Key Messages:

What does this say about our present condition?
  1. Issues amongst spiritual brothers will arise, issues will inflame beyond what the two or four/five or congregation can handle. How the congregation handled it, how they either bind or loose the injurious sentiment is a reflection on their master to others.
