What We Believe

We want finding a church to be simple. We also feel that a church should be simple in focus, and sound in doctrine.

Here is what we believe:

God.

We believe that there is one living and true God, who exists in three persons as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. All equal in power and authority, the Godhead is the Creator, sustainer, and governor of all things.

kjv@2Corinthians:13:14, The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.

Bible.

We believe that God has communicated to us through the Old and New Testaments, which are true and without error. Scripture is the foundation of our individual lives and the blueprint for His church.

kjv@2Timothy:3:16-17, All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Creation.

We believe that God created our world and gave it life. He is the Maker, who by simply speaking brought everything into existence and tasked humanity to care for it.

kjv@Colossians1:16, For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.

Jesus.

We believe that God became man so that we might be reconnected to Him. As a man, Jesus of Nazareth fulfilled this mission by His death and resurrection, and as God remains the object of our worship.

kjv@Isaiah:9:6, For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Repentance.

We believe that repentance is an evangelical grace, wherein a person being by the Holy Spirit, made sensible of the manifold evil of his sin, humbles himself for it, with godly sorrow, detestation of it, and self abhorrence, with a purpose and endeavor to walk before God so as to please Him in all things. (kjv@Mark:1:15; kjv@Acts:20:21; kjv@2Corinthians:7:9)

Regeneration.

We believe that regeneration is a change of heart, wrought by the Holy Spirit, who gives life to those who are dead in trespasses and sins enlightening their minds spiritually and savingly to understand the Word of God, and renewing their whole nature, so that they love and practice holiness. It is a work of God’s free and special grace alone. (kjv@John:3:1-8; kjv@Titus:3:5; kjv@1Peter:1:3)

Church.

We believe that God has formed a universal community from those who follow Him. We are connected to each other locally, where we gather to worship Him, be taught by Him, and be sent by Him.

kjv@Ephesians:2:19-22, Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

Sanctification.

We believe that those who have been regenerated are also sanctified by God’s word and Spirit dwelling in them. This sanctification is progressive through the supply of Divine strength, which all saints seek to obtain, pressing after a heavenly life in heartfelt obedience to all Christ’s commands. (kjv@John:17:17; kjv@2Thessalonians:2:13; kjv@Hebrews:12:14)

Life.

We believe that God has given us His Spirit to have the liberty, power, and wisdom to live every day for Him. The believer who yields to His presence will experience the supernatural in all areas of life.

kjv@John:14:12-13, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”
