gltv@Joshua:5:4 @ And this is the reason circumcised: All the people who had come out of Egypt, who were males, all the men of war, had died in the wilderness, in the way, as they came out of Egypt.

gltv@Joshua:5:5 @ For all the people who had come out were circumcised. And all the people who were born in the wilderness, in the way, as they came out from Egypt, had not been circumcised.

gltv@Joshua:5:6 @ For the sons of Israel had walked forty years in the wilderness, until all the nation, the men of war who had come out of Egypt were consumed, those who did not listen to the voice of Jehovah, to whom Jehovah had sworn to them not to show them the land which Jehovah swore to their fathers, to give to us, a land flowing with milk and honey; these were consumed.

gltv@Joshua:6:7 @ And he said to the people, Pass on, go around the city, and he who is shall go on before the ark of Jehovah.

gltv@Joshua:6:13 @ And seven priests bearing seven trumpets of the ram's horns were walking before the ark of Jehovah, going on, and were blowing with the rams' horns. And he who was armed went before them. And the rear guard went behind the ark of Jehovah, going on and blowing with the rams' horns.

gltv@Joshua:6:17 @ And the city shall be devoted to Jehovah, it and all that are in it. Only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all who are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent.

gltv@Joshua:6:22 @ And said to the two men who had spied out the land, Go into the house of the woman, the harlot, and bring the woman out from there, and all whom she has, as you have sworn to her.

gltv@Joshua:6:23 @ And the young men, the spies, went in and brought out Rahab, and her father, and her mother, and her brothers, and all whom she had; yea, they brought all her family, and set them outside the camp of Israel.

gltv@Joshua:8:20 @ And the men of Ai looked behind them, and saw; and, behold! The smoke of the city had gone up into the sky. And there was no power in them to flee here or there. And the people who had fled to the wilderness turned back against the pursuers.

gltv@Joshua:8:31 @ as Moses, the servant of Jehovah, commanded the sons of Israel, as it is written in the book of the law of Moses; an altar of whole stones, on which had been wielded no iron. And they offered up on it burnt offerings to Jehovah, and offered peace offerings.

gltv@Joshua:8:33 @ And all Israel, and its elders, and authorities, and its judges were standing on this side, the alien as well as the homeborn, and on that of the ark, before the priests, the Levites, who bore the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, half of them in front of Mount Gerizim, and half of them in front of Mount Ebal, as Moses the servant of Jehovah had commanded at the first, that they should bless the people of Israel.

gltv@Joshua:9:1 @ And it happened, when all the kings who were beyond the Jordan in the hills and in the Lowlands, and in all the coast of the Great Sea in front of Lebanon, heard of it, the Hittite, and the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite,

gltv@Joshua:10:11 @ And it happened, as they fled from the face of Israel, they were in the descent of Bethhoron, even Jehovah cast great stones on them out of the heavens, to Azekah; and they died. The many who died by the hailstones were more than the sons of Israel had killed by the sword.

gltv@Joshua:10:20 @ And it happened, when and the sons of Israel had finished destroying them with a very great blow, until they were completely destroyed, and the remnant of them who escaped went into the fortified cities,

gltv@Joshua:10:24 @ And it happened, when they brought out these kings to Joshua, called to every man of Israel and said to the commanders of the men of war who had gone with him, Draw near, set your feet on the necks of these kings. And they drew near and set their feet on their necks.

gltv@Joshua:10:25 @ And said to them, Do not fear nor be afraid. Be strong and brave, for so Jehovah shall do to all your enemies with whom you are fighting.

gltv@Joshua:11:23 @ And took the whole of the land, according to all that Jehovah had spoken to Moses. And gave it for Israel according to their divisions, by their tribes. And the land had rest from war.

gltv@Joshua:12:1 @ And these are the kings of the land whom the sons of Israel struck, and they seized their land beyond the Jordan, at the sunrising, from the river Arnon to Mount Hermon, and all the Arabah eastward:

gltv@Joshua:12:2 @ Sihon the king of the Amorites who lived in Heshbon, and ruled from Aroer, which is on the bank of the river Arnon, and from its valley floor, and half Gilead, even to the river Jabbok, the border of the sons of Ammon;

gltv@Joshua:12:4 @ and the border of Og the king of Bashan, of the rest of the giants, who lived at Ashtaroth and at Edrei,

gltv@Joshua:12:7 @ And these are the kings of the land whom and the sons of Israel struck beyond the Jordan westward, from Baal-gad in the Valley of Lebanon even to Mount Halak that goes up to Seir, which gave to the tribes of Israel for a possession according to their divisions;

gltv@Joshua:13:10 @ and all the cities of Sihon the king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, to the border of the sons of Ammon;

gltv@Joshua:13:12 @ all the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei; he remained of the remnant of the giants. And Moses struck them and expelled them.

gltv@Joshua:13:21 @ and all the cities of the tableland, and all the kingdom of Sihon the king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses struck with the rulers of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, chiefs of Sihon, the inhabitants of the land.

gltv@Joshua:13:32 @ These are they whom Moses caused to inherit in the plains of Moab, beyond the Jordan, opposite Jericho, eastward.

gltv@Joshua:14:1 @ And these are they of the sons of Israel who inherited in the land of Canaan, whom Eleazar the priest and the son of Nun and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the sons of Israel caused to inherit.

gltv@Joshua:14:8 @ But my brothers who went up with me caused the heart of the people to melt, yet I fully followed after Jehovah my God.

gltv@Joshua:16:10 @ And they did not expel the Canaanite who lived in Gezer. And the Canaanite lives in the midst of Ephraim to this day, and is serving under tribute.

gltv@Joshua:17:16 @ And the sons of Joseph said, The hills will not be found for us. And every Canaanite who lives in the land of the valley has a chariot of iron, those that are of Beth-shean and its daughter-villages, and of him who is in the valley of Jezreel.

gltv@Joshua:23:7 @ so as not to go in among these nations, these who are left with you; and that you do not make mention of the name of their gods, nor shall you swear, nor shall you serve them, nor shall you bow yourselves to them.

gltv@Joshua:23:10 @ One man of you shall pursue a thousand; for Jehovah your God is He who is fighting for you, as He has spoken to you.

gltv@Joshua:23:12 @ But if you at all turn away and cleave to the remnant of the nations, of those who are left to you, and intermarry with them, and go in to them, and they to you,

gltv@Joshua:24:8 @ And I brought you into the land of the Amorite who lived beyond the Jordan. And they fought with you, and I gave them into your hand, and you possessed their land. And I destroyed them before you.

gltv@Joshua:24:15 @ And if it seems evil in your eyes to serve Jehovah, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve, whether the gods whom your fathers served Beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living. But as for me and my house, we will serve Jehovah.

gltv@Joshua:24:17 @ For Jehovah our God is He who has brought us and our fathers out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slaves, and who has done these great signs before our eyes, and has preserved us in all the way in which we have gone, and among all the people through whom we have passed.

gltv@Joshua:24:31 @ And Israel served Jehovah all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders whose days were prolonged after Joshua, and who knew all the work of Jehovah which he did to Israel.

gltv@Judges:2:10 @ And also all that generation was gathered to their fathers, and another generation arose after them who had not known Jehovah, nor yet the works which He had done for Israel.

gltv@Judges:2:12 @ And they forsook Jehovah, the God of their fathers, who brought them out from the land of Egypt. And they went after other gods of the gods of the peoples who were around them, and bowed themselves to them, and angered Jehovah.

gltv@Judges:2:17 @ But they also did not listen to their judges, but went whoring after other gods, and bowed themselves to them. They quickly turned aside out of the way in which their fathers walked to obey the commands of Jehovah. They did not do so.

gltv@Judges:3:1 @ And these are the nations which Jehovah left in order to test Israel by them, all who did not know all the wars of Canaan;

gltv@Judges:3:2 @ only that the generations of the sons of Israel might know, to teach them war, only those who did not before know them:

gltv@Judges:6:31 @ And Joash said to all that stood against him, You, will you contend for Baal? Or you, will you save him? He who contends for him shall be killed by the morning. If he is a god, let him contend for himself, because one has smashed his altar.

gltv@Judges:7:4 @ And Jehovah said to Gideon, The people are still too many. Bring them down to the water, and I will refine them for you there. And it shall be, he of whom I say to you, this one shall go with you, he shall go with you. And any of whom I shall say to you, This one shall not go with you, he shall not go.

gltv@Judges:7:5 @ And he brought the people down to the water. And Jehovah said to Gideon, Everyone who laps of the water with his tongue, as a dog laps, you shall set him apart. And everyone who bows on his knees to drink, set apart.

gltv@Judges:7:7 @ And Jehovah said to Gideon, I will deliver you by the three hundred men who lapped, and shall give Midian into your hand. And all the people shall go, each to his place.

gltv@Judges:7:18 @ And I shall blow with a ram's horn, I and all who are with me. And you shall blow with the ram's horns, you also all around the camp, and shall shout, For Jehovah and for Gideon!

gltv@Judges:8:18 @ And he said to Zebah and to Zalmunna, How were the men whom you killed in Tabor? And they said, As you are, so they; each one as a king's son in appearance.

gltv@Judges:8:27 @ And Gideon made an ephod of it, and put it in his city, even in Ophrah. And all Israel went whoring after it there, and it became a snare to Gideon and to his house.

gltv@Judges:8:33 @ And it happened, when Gideon was dead, the sons of Israel rebelled and went whoring after the Baals, and appointed Baalberith for a god for themselves.

gltv@Judges:8:34 @ And the sons of Israel did not remember Jehovah their God who had delivered them out of the hand of all their enemies all around;

gltv@Judges:9:24 @ that the violence against Jerubbaal's seventy sons, even their blood, might be put on their brother Abimelech who killed them, and on the leaders of Shechem, who made his hands strong to kill his brothers.

gltv@Judges:9:25 @ And the leaders of Shechem set men in ambush at the tops of the mountains; and they robbed all who passed by them on the highway. And it was told to Abimelech.

gltv@Judges:9:28 @ And Gaal, the son of Ebed, said, Who is Abimelech, and who is Shechem, that we should serve him? Is he not the son of Jerubbaal, and Zebul his commander? Serve the men of Hamor the father of Shechem! And why should we serve him?

gltv@Judges:9:29 @ And who will give this people in my hand? Then I would remove Abimelech. And he said to Abimelech, Multiply your army and come out.

gltv@Judges:9:38 @ And Zebul said to him, Now where is your mouth with which you said, Who is Abimelech, that we should serve him? Is this not the people you despised? Now go out now and fight against it.

gltv@Judges:9:44 @ And Abimelech and the companies with him rushed forward and stood in the opening of the gate of the city. And the two companies charged against all who were in the field, and struck them.

gltv@Judges:10:4 @ And he had thirty sons who rode on thirty ass colts. And they had thirty cities, which are called The Towns of Jair to this day, which are in the land of Gilead.

gltv@Judges:10:18 @ And the people said, The chief men of Gilead, each man to his neighbor, Who will be the man who will begin to fight against the sons of Ammon? He shall be head over all the people of Gilead.

gltv@Judges:12:14 @ And he had forty sons, and thirty grandsons, who rode on seventy he-asses; and he judged Israel eight years.

gltv@Judges:13:8 @ Then Manoah prayed to Jehovah, and said, O my Lord, the Man of God whom You sent, please let Him come again to us and direct us what we shall do to the boy being born.

gltv@Judges:13:10 @ And the woman hurried and ran, and told her husband, and said to him, Behold, He has appeared to me, the Man who came to me that day.

gltv@Judges:13:11 @ And Manoah rose up and went after his wife, and came to the Man. And he said to Him, Are You the Man who spoke to the woman? And He said, I am.

gltv@Judges:14:19 @ And the Spirit of Jehovah came upon him. And he went down to Ashkelon and struck thirty men of them, and took their plunder. And he gave the changes to those who told the riddle; and his anger glowed. And he went up to his father's house.

gltv@Judges:14:20 @ And Samson's wife became his companion's, who had been his feeder.

gltv@Judges:15:6 @ And the Philistines said, Who has done this? And they said, Samson, the son-in-law of the Timnite, because he took away his wife and gave her to his companion. And the Philistines went and burned her and her father with fire.

gltv@Judges:16:24 @ And the people saw him, and praised their god. For they said, Our god has delivered our enemy into our hand, even the devastator of our land, who multiplied our wounded.

gltv@Judges:16:30 @ And Samson said, Let my soul die with the Philistines! And he bowed mightily, and the house fell on the rulers, and on all the people who were in it. And the dead that he killed in his death were more than those the killed in his life.

gltv@Judges:17:3 @ And he gave back the eleven hundred silver pieces to his mother. And his mother said, I have wholly consecrated the silver to Jehovah from my hand for my son, to make a graven image and a molten image. And now, I am returning it to you.

gltv@Judges:18:3 @ They were near the household of Micah, and they recognized the young man's voice, the Levite. And they turned in there, and said to him, Who has brought you here? And what are you doing in this place? And what have you here?

gltv@Judges:19:22 @ They were making their hearts merry. And, behold, men of the city, sons of worthless men, went around the house, beating on the door. And they spoke to the old man, the house-master, saying, Bring out the man who has come into your house, and we shall know him.

gltv@Judges:19:30 @ And it was so: all who saw it said, There has never been, and never was seen, a thing like this from the day the sons of Israel came up out of the land of Egypt until this day. Set yourselves on it, take counsel. Then speak.

gltv@Judges:20:4 @ And the man, the Levite, husband of the woman who had been murdered, answered and said, I came into Gibeah which is to Benjamin, I and my concubine, to spend the night.

gltv@Judges:20:40 @ And the rising of smoke began to go up from the city, a pillar. And Benjamin turned around, and, behold, the whole city had gone up toward the heavens.

gltv@Judges:20:42 @ And they turned before the men of Israel toward the way of the wilderness. And the battle followed them. And those who were from the city were destroying them in their midst.

gltv@Judges:20:46 @ And all the ones of Benjamin who fell were twenty five thousand men drawing the sword on that day; all of these mighty men.

gltv@Judges:21:5 @ And the sons of Israel said, Who is he that did not come up in the assembly out of all the tribes of Israel to Jehovah? For a great oath had been undertaken concerning him that did not come up to Jehovah to Mizpeh saying, He shall surely be put to death.

gltv@Judges:21:7 @ What shall we do for them, for those who are left, for wives? For we surely have sworn by Jehovah not to give them of our daughters for wives.

gltv@Judges:21:11 @ And this is the thing which you shall do. You shall destroy every male and every woman who has been known by lying with a male.

gltv@Judges:21:12 @ And out of all the inhabitants of Jabesh-gilead they found four hundred young women, virgins, who had not known a man by lying with a male. And they brought them into the camp at Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan.

gltv@Judges:21:13 @ And all the assembly sent and spoke to the sons of Benjamin who were in the rock of Rimmon, and called out peace to them.

gltv@Ezra:5:6 @ The copy of the letter which Tatnai, governor of the province Beyond the River, and Shethar-boznai, and his associates the officials who were Beyond the River, sent to Darius the king:

gltv@Ezra:5:9 @ Then we asked those elders, saying said this to them, Who commanded you to rebuild this house, and to complete this structure?

gltv@Ezra:5:10 @ And we also asked their names in order to inform you so that we might write the names of the men who are at their heads.

gltv@Ezra:5:14 @ And also the vessels of gold and silver from the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took out of the temple in Jerusalem, and brought them into the temple of Babylon, those Cyrus the king took out of the temple of Babylon, and they were delivered to one whose name was Sheshbazzar, whom he had made governor.

gltv@Ezra:6:6 @ Now, Tatnai, governor of the province Beyond the River, Shetharboznai, and your associates, the officials who are Beyond the River, you be far from there.

gltv@Ezra:6:11 @ Also I have given a decree that whoever shall change this word, let timber be torn out from his house, and let him be impaled and hanged on it. And let his house be made an outhouse for this.

gltv@Ezra:6:12 @ And may the God who has caused His name to dwell there destroy any kings and people who shall put their hand to change or to destroy this house of God in Jerusalem. I, Darius, have placed a decree. Let it be done exactly.

gltv@Ezra:6:21 @ And the sons of Israel ate, those who had returned from the exile, and who had all separated themselves to them from the impurity of the nations of the land, to seek Jehovah the God of Israel.

gltv@Ezra:7:13 @ From me was made a decree that any one of the people of Israel, and their priests and Levites in my kingdom who volunteers to go up to Jerusalem, may go with you;

gltv@Ezra:7:15 @ and to carry the silver and gold which the king and his counselors have freely offered to the God of Israel, whose house is in Jerusalem:

gltv@Ezra:7:21 @ And I, Artaxerxes the king, made a decree to all the treasurers who are Beyond the River, that whatever the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of Heaven, shall ask of you, it shall be done exactly,

gltv@Ezra:7:25 @ And you, Ezra, according to the wisdom of your God in your hand, you appoint judges and magistrates who may judge all the people who are Beyond the River; all who know the laws of your God; and those who do not know, you cause to know.

gltv@Ezra:7:26 @ And whoever will not do the law of your God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed diligently on him, whether to death, or to exile, or to confiscation of goods, or imprisonment.

gltv@Ezra:7:27 @ Blessed be Jehovah, the God of our fathers, who has put this in the king's heart, to beautify the house of Jehovah in Jerusalem.

gltv@Ezra:8:1 @ Now these are the heads of the fathers, and the genealogy of those who went up with me from Babylon, in the reign of Artaxerxes the king:

gltv@Ezra:8:20 @ Also came of the temple-slaves whom David and the leaders had chosen for the service of the Levites, two hundred and twenty temple-slaves. All of them were called by name.

gltv@Ezra:8:22 @ For I was ashamed to ask of the king troops and horsemen to help us against the enemy of the way, because we had spoken to the king, saying, The hand of our God is on all those who seek Him for good; but His power and His wrath are against all those who forsake Him.

gltv@Ezra:8:25 @ And I weighed to them the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, the offering of the house of our God, which the king and his counselors, and his lords, and all Israel who were there had lifted up.

gltv@Ezra:8:35 @ Those who came out of the captivity of the sons of exile offered burnt offerings to the God of Israel: twelve young bulls for all Israel, ninety six rams, seventy seven lambs, twelve he goats for a sin offering. All was a burnt offering to Jehovah.

gltv@Ezra:9:4 @ Then everyone who trembled at the words of the God of Israel were gathered to me, because of the perfidy of the exiles. And I remained stunned until the evening offering.

gltv@Ezra:10:3 @ And now let us cut a covenant with our God to put away all the women, and those born of them, according to the counsel of the Lord and of those who tremble at the command of our God. And let it be done according to the law.

gltv@Ezra:10:8 @ and that whoever would not come within three days according to the counsel of the leaders and the elders, all his property would be forfeited, and he would be excluded from the congregation of the exiles.

gltv@Ezra:10:14 @ Please let our rulers for all the congregation stand, and let all those who have dwelt with foreign women in our cities come at a set time, and with them the elders of every city, and its judges, until the fierce wrath of our God for this matter has turned from us.

gltv@Ezra:10:17 @ And they finished with all the men who had dwelt with foreign women by the first day of the first month.

gltv@Ezra:10:18 @ And among the sons of the priests, these were found who had dwelt with foreign women: From the sons of Jeshua the son of Jozadak and his brothers: Maaseiah, and Eliezer, and Jarib, and Gedaliah.

gltv@Nehemiah:1:2 @ Hanani came, one of my brothers, he and men of Judah. And I asked them about the Jews who had escaped, who were left of the captivity, and about Jerusalem.

gltv@Nehemiah:1:10 @ And these are Your servants and Your people whom You have redeemed by Your great power and by Your strong hand.

gltv@Nehemiah:1:11 @ O Lord, I beg You, let Your ear be open to the prayer of Your servant, and to the prayer of Your servants who delight to fear Your name. And I beg You, bless Your servant today and grant him mercy before this man. For I was cupbearer to the king.

gltv@Nehemiah:3:3 @ But the sons of Hassenaah built the Fish Gate, who laid its beams, and set up its doors, its locks and its bars.

gltv@Nehemiah:4:12 @ And it happened when the Jews who lived near them came in, they said to us ten times, From all places where you shall return, they will be against us.

gltv@Nehemiah:4:14 @ And I saw. And I rose up and said to the nobles and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and terrible, and fight for your brothers, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses.

gltv@Nehemiah:4:17 @ the ones who built on the wall, and the ones who carried a burden, bearing with one of his hands, a worker in the work; and one holder of the weapon.

gltv@Nehemiah:4:18 @ For each man of the builders had his sword tied by his side, and built. And he who sounded the ram's horn was beside me.

gltv@Nehemiah:4:23 @ So neither I, nor my brothers, nor my servants, nor the men of the guard who followed me, none of us put off our clothes, though each had his vessel of water.

gltv@Nehemiah:5:8 @ And I said to them, According to our ability we have redeemed our brothers, the Jews who were sold to the nations. And will you yet sell your brothers? Or shall they be sold to us? Then they were silent, and did not find a word.

gltv@Nehemiah:5:13 @ Also I shook my lap, and I said, So may God shake out every man from his house and from his labor who does not do this thing; even may he be shaken out this way and emptied. And all the congregation said, Amen, and praised Jehovah. And the people did according to this thing.

gltv@Nehemiah:5:17 @ And at my table were a hundred and fifty of the Jews and rulers, besides those who came to us from among the nations around us.

gltv@Nehemiah:6:10 @ And I came to the house of Shemaiah the son of Delaiah the son of Mehetabeel, who was shut up. And he said, Let us meet together in the house of God, inside the temple, and let us shut the doors of the temple. For they will come to kill you. Yea, in the night they will come to kill you.

gltv@Nehemiah:6:11 @ And I said, Should such a man as I flee? And who being as I am would go into the temple and live? I will not go in.

gltv@Nehemiah:6:14 @ O God, remember Tobiah and Sanballat according to these works of theirs, and also to the prophetess Noadiah, and the rest of the prophets who are my alarmers.

gltv@Nehemiah:6:16 @ And it happened when all our enemies heard, and all the nations who were around us saw, they were very much lowered in their own eyes. For they saw that this work was done by our God.

gltv@Nehemiah:7:5 @ And my God put into my heart to gather together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, so that they might be counted by genealogy. And I found a register of genealogy of those who came up at the first. And I found written in it:

gltv@Nehemiah:7:6 @ These are the sons of the province who went up of the exiles, of the captivity, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had removed. And they came again to Jerusalem and to Judah, each man to his city.

gltv@Nehemiah:7:61 @ And these were they who went up from Tel-melah, Tel-haresha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer. But they were not able to manifest their father's house, nor their seed, whether they were of Israel:

gltv@Nehemiah:7:63 @ and of the priests, the sons of Habaiah, the sons of Koz, the sons of Barzillai, who took one of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite to wife, and was called after their name.

gltv@Nehemiah:7:64 @ These sought their register among those who were reckoned by genealogy, but it was not found. And they were polluted from the priesthood.

gltv@Nehemiah:8:3 @ And he read in it before the plaza before the Water Gate, from the morning until noon, before the men and the women, and those who could understand. And the ears of all the people listened to the Book of the Law.

gltv@Nehemiah:8:9 @ And the governor, and Ezra the priest, the scribe, and the Levites who taught the people, said to all the people, This day is holy to Jehovah your God. Do not mourn or weep, For all the people wept when they heard the words of the Law.

gltv@Nehemiah:8:10 @ Then he said to them, Go eat the fat, and drink of the sweet, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared. For this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be sorry, for the joy of Jehovah is your stronghold.

gltv@Nehemiah:8:17 @ And all the congregation of those who had come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths. For since the days of Joshua the son of Nun until that day, the sons of Israel had not done so. And there was very great gladness.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:7 @ You are Jehovah the God who chose Abram, and brought him forth out of Ur of the Chaldees, and appointed his name Abraham.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:18 @ Yea, when they had made a casted calf for themselves, and said, This is your god who brought you up out of Egypt, and had worked great blasphemies,

gltv@Nehemiah:9:26 @ But they were disobedient, and rebelled against You, and cast Your law behind their backs. And they killed Your prophets who testified against them, to turn them to You. And they worked great blasphemies.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:27 @ And You gave them into the hand of their enemies, who distressed them. And in the time of their distress, they cried to You; and You heard from Heaven. And according to Your manifold mercies, You gave them deliverers, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:37 @ And it yields much increase to the kings whom You have set over us because of our sinning. And they rule over our bodies, and over our cattle, at their pleasure; and we are in great distress.

gltv@Nehemiah:10:28 @ And the rest of the people the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, the temple-slaves, and all those who separated from the people of the lands to the Law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, all knowing and discerning ones,

gltv@Nehemiah:10:36 @ also to bring the first-born of our sons, and of our cattle, as it is written in the Law; and the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks to the house of our God, to the priests who minister in the house of our God.

gltv@Nehemiah:11:2 @ And the people blessed all the men who willingly offered themselves to live in Jerusalem.

gltv@Nehemiah:11:3 @ And these are the rulers of the province who lived in Jerusalem; but in the cities of Judah, a man lived in his possession in their cities; Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the temple-slaves, and the sons of Solomon's servants.

gltv@Nehemiah:11:6 @ All the sons of Perez who lived in Jerusalem were four hundred and sixty eight mighty men.

gltv@Nehemiah:11:12 @ And their brothers who did the work of the house were eight hundred and twenty two. And Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pelaliah, the son of Amzi, the son of Zechariah, the son of Pashur, the son of Malchiah,

gltv@Nehemiah:11:19 @ And the gatekeepers: Akkub, Talmon, and their brothers who kept the gates, a hundred and seventy two.

gltv@Nehemiah:12:1 @ And these are the priests and the Levites who went up with Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua: Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra,

gltv@Nehemiah:12:44 @ And at that time some were chosen over the rooms for the treasuries, for the offerings for the firstfruits, and for the tithes, to gather to them out of the fields of the cities the portions of the Law for the priests and the Levites. For Judah rejoiced for the priests, and for the Levites who waited.

gltv@Nehemiah:13:4 @ And before this, Eliashib the priest, who was set over the rooms of the house of our God, who was related to Tobiah,

gltv@Nehemiah:13:10 @ And I was aware that the portions of the Levites had not been given, for the Levites and the singers who did the work had each one fled to his field.

gltv@Nehemiah:13:16 @ Men of Tyre also lived in it, who brought fish and all wares, and were selling on the Sabbath to the sons of Judah even in Jerusalem.

gltv@Nehemiah:13:23 @ In those days I also saw Jews who had dwelt with women from Ashdod, Ammon and Moab.

gltv@Nehemiah:13:26 @ Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? Yet among many nations there was no king like him, who was beloved by his God; and God made him king over Israel. But women from other lands caused even him to sin.

gltv@Esther:1:1 @ And it happened, in the days of Ahasuerus (he is Ahasuerus who reigned from India even to Ethiopia, over a hundred and twenty seven provinces)

gltv@Esther:1:5 @ And when these days were fulfilled, the king made a banquet for all the peoples who were found in Shushan the palace, both to great and to small, for seven days in the court of the garden of the king's palace.

gltv@Esther:1:10 @ In the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he said to Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, and Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, the seven eunuchs who served before the face of Ahasuerus the king,

gltv@Esther:1:13 @ And the king said to the wise men who knew the times (for so was the king's manner toward all who knew law and judgment;

gltv@Esther:1:14 @ and the ones next to him were Carshena, Shethar, Admatha, Tarshish, Meres, Marsena, and Memucan, the seven princes of Persia and Media who saw the king's face, who sat first in the kingdom)

gltv@Esther:1:16 @ And Memucan answered before the king and princes, Vashti the queen has not only done wrong to the king, but also to all the princes, and to all the people who are in all the provinces of Ahasuerus the king.

gltv@Esther:1:18 @ And this day the princesses of Persia and Media who have heard the queen's word shall say the same to all the king's princes and there shall be contempt and strife.

gltv@Esther:1:19 @ If it please the king, let there be a royal decree from him, and let it be written among the laws of Persia and Media so that it shall not pass away, that Vashti come no more before king Ahasuerus. And let the king give her royal estate to a neighbor who is better than she is.

gltv@Esther:2:2 @ And the king's servants who served him said, let beautiful young virgins be sought for the king.

gltv@Esther:2:4 @ And let the young woman who pleases the king rule instead of Vashti. And the thing pleased the king, and he did so.

gltv@Esther:2:6 @ Who had been stripped from Jerusalem with the captivity which had been led away with Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had exiled.

gltv@Esther:2:14 @ She goes in the evening, and on the morning she returns to the second house of the women, into the hand of Shaashgaz the king's eunuch who kept the concubines. She does not come in to the king any more, unless the king delights in her, and she is called by name.

gltv@Esther:2:15 @ And when the turn of had come (she being the daughter of Abihail, Mordecai's uncle, whom he had taken to himself for his daughter) to go in to the king, she did not seek a thing except what Hegai the king's eunuch, the keeper of the women, said. And had favor in the sight of all who looked on her.

gltv@Esther:2:21 @ In those days, while Mordecai sat in the king's gate, two of the king's eunuchs, Bigthan and Teresh, of those who guarded the threshold, were angry, and sought to stretch out a hand against king Ahasuerus.

gltv@Esther:2:22 @ And the thing was known to Mordecai, who told it to the queen. And told the king in the name of Mordecai.

gltv@Esther:3:2 @ And all the king's servants who were in the king's gate were bowing and worshiping Haman, for the king had so commanded for him. But Mordecai did not bow nor worship.

gltv@Esther:3:3 @ And the king's servants who were at the gate of the king said to Mordecai, Why do you disobey the king's command?

gltv@Esther:3:9 @ If it pleases the king, let it be written to destroy them; and I will pay ten thousand talents of silver to the hands of those who do the work, to bring it into the king's treasuries.

gltv@Esther:3:12 @ Then the king's scribes were called on the thirteenth day of the first month, and it was written according to all that Haman had commanded to the king's satraps, and to the governors who were over every province, and to the rulers of every people of every province. according to its writing, and to every people according to their language. It was written in the name of king Ahasuerus, and sealed with the king's ring.

gltv@Esther:4:5 @ And called for Hatach, of the king's eunuchs, who was made to stand before her. And she charged him as to Mordecai, to know what this was and why this was.

gltv@Esther:4:11 @ for all the king's servants and the people of the king's provinces know that whoever, whether man or woman, shall come to the king into the inner court, who is not called, there is one law of his, execution; except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden scepter so that he may live. But I have not been called to come into the king these thirty days.

gltv@Esther:4:14 @ For if you are completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance shall rise up to the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house shall perish. And who knows if you have attained to the kingdom for such time as this?

gltv@Esther:6:2 @ And it was found written that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's eunuchs, the guards of the threshold who sought to send forth a hand against king Ahasuerus.

gltv@Esther:6:4 @ And the king said, Who is in the I court? And Haman had come into the outer court of the king's house to speak to the king to hang Mordecai on the wooden gallows which he had built for him.

gltv@Esther:6:6 @ And Haman came in. And the king said to him, What shall be done to the man whom the king delights to honor? And Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honor more than to myself?

gltv@Esther:6:7 @ And Haman answered the king, For the man whom the king delights to honor,

gltv@Esther:6:9 @ and let this clothing and horse be given into the hand of men, one of the king's most noble princes, and let them dress the man whom the king delights to honor, and cause him to ride on the horse through the street of the city, and call out before him, In this way shall be done to the man whom the king delights, in honoring him!

gltv@Esther:6:10 @ And the king said to Haman, Hurry! Take the clothing and the horse, as you have said, and do so to Mordecai the Jew, who sits at the king's gate. Do not fail to do any of all the things you have spoken.

gltv@Esther:6:11 @ And Haman took the clothing and the horse, and dressed Mordecai, and caused him to ride through the street of the city, and called out before him, In this way shall be done to the man whom the king delights, in honoring him!

gltv@Esther:6:13 @ And Haman told his wife Zeresh and all his friends everything that had happened to him. Then his wise men and his wife Zeresh said to him, If Mordecai is of the seed of the Jews, before whom you have begun to fall, you shall not prevail against him, but shall surely fall before him.

gltv@Esther:7:5 @ And king Ahasuerus answered and said to e queen, Who is he, this one? And where is this one, he who is filled with pride in his heart to do so?

gltv@Esther:7:9 @ And Harbonah, one of the eunuchs, said before the king, Also, look! The wooden gallows which Haman made for Mordecai, who had spoken good toward the king, is standing at Haman's house. And the king said, Hang him on it!

gltv@Esther:8:5 @ and said, If it pleases the king, and if I have fond favor before him, and the thing is right before the king, and I am pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to bring back the documents (a sly plan by Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite) which he wrote to destroy the Jews who are in all the king's provinces.

gltv@Esther:9:5 @ And the Jews struck against all their haters with a stroke of the sword, and slaughter, and destruction, and did what they desired to those who hated them.

gltv@Esther:9:11 @ On that day the number of those who were killed in Shushan the palace was brought before the king.

gltv@Esther:9:19 @ On account of this the Jews of the villages who lived in the unwalled towns made the fourteenth day of the month Adar a day of gladness and feasting, and a good day, and a day of sending portions to one another.
