* Where is the wise ? where is the scribe ? where is the disputer of this world ? hath not God made foolish (5656 ) the wisdom of this world ? * For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew (5627 ) not God , it pleased (5656 ) God by the foolishness of preaching to save (5658 ) them that believe (5723 ). * For the Jews require (5719 ) a sign , and the Greeks seek (5719 ) after wisdom :
