* Even so ye , forasmuch as ye are (5748 ) zealous of spiritual gifts , seek (5720 ) that ye may excel (5725 ) to the edifying of the church . * Wherefore let him that speaketh (5723 ) in an unknown tongue pray (5737 ) that he may interpret (5725 ). * For if I pray (5741 ) in an unknown tongue , my spirit prayeth (5736 ), but my understanding is (5748 ) unfruitful . * What is it (5748 ) then ? I will pray (5695 ) with the spirit , and I will pray (5695 ) with the understanding also : I will sing (5692 ) with the spirit , and I will sing (5692 ) with the understanding also . * Else when thou shalt bless (5661 ) with the spirit , how shall he that occupieth (5723 ) the room of the unlearned say (5692 ) Amen at thy giving of thanks , seeing he understandeth (5758 ) not what thou sayest (5719 )? * For thou verily givest thanks (5719 ) well , but the other is not edified (5743 ).
