tcent@1John:1:5 @ This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you, that God is light and in him is no darkness at all.

tcent@1John:1:6 @ If we say we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not live according to the truth.

tcent@1John:1:7 @ But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

tcent@1John:1:8 @ If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

tcent@1John:1:9 @ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

tcent@1John:1:10 @ If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

tcent@1John:2:1 @ My little children, I write this to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

tcent@1John:2:3 @ Now by this we know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

tcent@1John:2:4 @ He who says, »I know him,« but does not keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

tcent@1John:2:5 @ But whoever keeps his word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in him:

tcent@1John:2:7 @ Beloved, I am writing you no new commandment, but an old commandment that you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word that you have heard.

tcent@1John:2:8 @ Yet I am writing you a new commandment, which is true in him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining.

tcent@1John:2:9 @ He who says he is in the light and hates his brother is in the darkness still.

tcent@1John:2:10 @ He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him.

tcent@1John:2:11 @ But he who hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
