* Beloved , believe (5720 ) not every spirit , but try (5720 ) the spirits whether they are (5748 ) of God : because many false prophets are gone out (5758 ) into the world . * Hereby know ye (5719 ) (5720 ) the Spirit of God : Every spirit that confesseth (5719 ) that Jesus Christ is come (5756 ) in the flesh is (5748 ) of God : * And every spirit that confesseth (5719 ) not that Jesus Christ is come (5756 ) in the flesh is (5748 ) not of God : and this is (5748 ) that spirit of antichrist , whereof ye have heard (5754 ) that it should come (5736 ); and even now already is it (5748 ) in the world . * Ye are (5748 ) of God , little children , and have overcome (5758 ) them : because greater is he that is (5748 ) in you , than he that is in the world . * They are (5748 ) of the world : therefore speak they (5719 ) of the world , and the world heareth (5719 ) them . * We are (5748 ) of God : he that knoweth (5723 ) God heareth (5719 ) us ; he that is (5748 ) not of God heareth (5719 ) not us . Hereby know we (5719 ) the spirit of truth , and the spirit of error .
