* For neither at any time used we (5675 ) flattering words , as ye know (5758 ), nor a cloke of covetousness ; God is witness : * Nor of men sought (5723 ) we glory , neither of you , nor yet of others , when we might (5740 ) have been (5750 ) burdensome , as the apostles of Christ . * But we were (5675 ) gentle among you , even as a nurse cherisheth (5725 ) her children : * So being affectionately desirous (5734 ) of you , we were willing (5707 ) to have imparted (5629 ) unto you , not the gospel of God only , but also our own souls , because ye ere (5769 ) dear unto us . * For ye remember (5719 ), brethren , our labour and travail : for labouring (5740 ) night and day , because we would not be chargeable (5658 ) unto any of you , we preached (5656 ) unto you the gospel of God .
