* But we were (5675 ) gentle among you , even as a nurse cherisheth (5725 ) her children : * So being affectionately desirous (5734 ) of you , we were willing (5707 ) to have imparted (5629 ) unto you , not the gospel of God only , but also our own souls , because ye ere (5769 ) dear unto us . * For ye remember (5719 ), brethren , our labour and travail : for labouring (5740 ) night and day , because we would not be chargeable (5658 ) unto any of you , we preached (5656 ) unto you the gospel of God . * Ye are witnesses , and God also , how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves (5675 ) among you that believe (5723 ): * As ye know (5758 ) how we exhorted (5723 ) and comforted (5740 ) and charged (5734 ) every one of you , as a father doth his children , * That ye would walk (5658 ) worthy of God , who hath called (5723 ) you unto his kingdom and glory .
