* Blessed be God , even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ , the Father of mercies , and the God of all comfort ; * Who comforteth (5723 ) us in all our tribulation , that we may be able (5738 ) to comfort (5721 ) them which are in any trouble , by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted (5743 ) of God . * For as the sufferings of Christ abound (5719 ) in us , so our consolation also aboundeth (5719 ) by Christ . * And whether we be afflicted (5743 ), it is for your consolation and salvation , which is effectual (5734 ) in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer (5719 ): or whether we be comforted (5743 ), it is for your consolation and salvation . * And our hope of you is stedfast , knowing (5761 ), that as ye are (5748 ) partakers of the sufferings , so shall ye be also of the consolation .
