* And lest I should be exalted above measure (5747 ) through the abundance of the revelations , there was given (5681 ) to me a thorn in the flesh , the messenger of Satan to buffet (5725 ) me , lest I should be exalted above measure (5747 ). * For this thing I besought (5656 ) the Lord thrice , that it might depart (5632 ) from me . * And he said (5758 ) unto me , My grace is sufficient (5719 ) for thee : for my strength is made perfect (5743 ) in weakness . Most gladly therefore will I rather glory (5695 ) in my infirmities , that the power of Christ may rest (5661 ) upon me .
