2Corinthians:8

*
Moreover ,
brethren ,
we do you to wit (
5719 )
of the grace of God bestowed (
5772 )
on the churches of Macedonia ;
*
How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded (
5656 )
unto the riches of their liberality .
*
For to their power ,
I bear record (
5719 ),
yea ,
and beyond their power they were willing of themselves ;
*
Praying (
5740 )
us with much intreaty that we would receive (
5664 )
the gift ,
and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints .
*
And this they did ,
not as we hoped (
5656 ),
but first gave (
5656 )
their own selves to the Lord ,
and unto us by the will of God .
*
Insomuch that we desired (
5658 )
Titus ,
that as he had begun (
5662 ),
so he would also finish (
5661 )
in you the same grace also .
*
Therefore ,
as ye abound (
5719 )
in every thing ,
in faith ,
and utterance ,
and knowledge ,
and in all diligence ,
and in your love to us ,
see that ye abound (
5725 )
in this grace also .
*
I speak (
5719 )
not by commandment ,
but by occasion of the forwardness of others ,
and to prove (
5723 )
the sincerity of your love .
*
For ye know (
5719 )
the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ ,
that ,
though he was (
5752 )
rich ,
yet for your sakes he became poor (
5656 ),
that ye through his poverty might be rich (
5661 ).
*
And herein I give (
5719 )
my advice :
for this is expedient (
5719 )
for you ,
who have begun before (
5662 ),
not only to do (
5658 ),
but also to be forward (
5721 )
*
Now therefore perform (
5657 )
the doing (
5658 )
of it ;
that as there was a readiness to will (
5721 ),
so there may be a performance (
5658 )
also out of that which ye have (
5721 ).
*
For if there be first (
5736 )
a willing mind ,
it is accepted according to that a man hath (
5725 ),
and not according to that he hath (
5719 )
not .
*
For I mean not that other men be eased ,
and ye burdened :
*
But by an equality ,
that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want ,
that their abundance also may be (
5638 )
a supply for your want :
that there may be (
5638 )
equality :
*
As it is written (
5769 ),
He that had gathered much had nothing over (
5656 );
and he that had gathered little had no lack (
5656 ).
*
But thanks be to God ,
which put (
5723 )
the same earnest care into the heart of Titus for you .
*
For indeed he accepted (
5662 )
the exhortation ;
but being (
5723 )
more forward ,
of his own accord he went (
5627 )
unto you .
*
And we have sent (
5656 )
with him the brother ,
whose praise is in the gospel throughout all the churches ;
*
And not that only ,
but who was also chosen (
5685 )
of the churches to travel with us with this grace ,
which is administered (
5746 )
by us to the glory of the same Lord ,
and declaration of your ready mind :
*
Avoiding (
5734 )
this ,
that no man should blame (
5667 )
us in this abundance which is administered (
5746 )
by us :
*
Providing (
5734 )
for honest things ,
not only in the sight of the Lord ,
but also in the sight of men .
*
And we have sent (
5656 )
with them our brother ,
whom we have oftentimes proved (
5656 ) (
5752 )
diligent in many things ,
but now much more diligent ,
upon the great confidence which I have in you .
*
Whether any do enquire of Titus ,
he is my partner and fellowhelper concerning you :
or our brethren be enquired of ,
they are the messengers of the churches ,
and the glory of Christ .
*
Wherefore shew ye (
5669 )
to them ,
and before the churches ,
the proof of your love ,
and of our boasting on your behalf .
