* Nevertheless , God 's firm foundation stands , having this seal : »The Lord knows those who are his ,« and , »Everyone who names the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness .« * In a large house there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and earthenware , and some for noble use , some for ignoble . * If anyone cleanses himself from what is ignoble , he will be a vessel for noble purposes , made holy , useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work .
